So people keep saying that by electing McCain you are giving Bush his third term, somebody needs to tell the people that by electing Obama you are giving Carter his second term. Do you agree?

Vote yes, if you agree that by electing Obama you are allowing him to finish Carter's failed Presidency. Vote no, if do not agree that Obama is similar to Carter.

I am really tired of hearing "don't vote for McCain, that is giving Bush a third term," thanks to my witty father, he provided me this analogy. Obama is Carter's second term.

    As of 10/30/2008 Gallup Traditional has it as 49 "BO" and 47 McCain!

    I believe blacks are seeing the first opportunity for a black president and they are seizing it. If it were Condoleeza Rice or Clarence Thomas, I'd be right on board!

    The media and unfortunately MANY people feel they HAVE to vote for "BO" or risk being called "racist".

    Please, someone explain to me, why you are considered a racist if you DARE to disagree with someone of a different skin tone? I think everyone is afraid of race wars if "BO" looses to an "old white guy"...

    I VOTE FOR PHILOSOPHIES AND PREVIOUS RECORD, NOT A SKIN COLOR!

    Just one quick “Spreading the Wealth” Question:

    Lets say your son worked hard and earned an “A” in his class, but the other students didn’t study as hard and earned “C”s.

    Would you want the teacher to take his “A” away, “spread it around” to give the other students a “C+ ” and then give him a “C+ ”?

    That is exactly what “spreading the wealth around” does…

    Hard work is punished, laziness is rewarded. SOCIALISM at it’s best…

    TO ALL MY FRIENDS....LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE...FYI only.

    George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years.

    The first six the economy was fine.

    A little over one year ago:

    1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

    The first six the economy was fine.

    A little over one year ago:

    1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

    2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

    3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.

    4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000

    5) American's were buying new cars, taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

    But American's wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right.

    In the PAST YEAR:

    1) Consumer confidence has plummeted ;

    2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;

    3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);

    4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION DOLLARS and prices still dropping;

    5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

    6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low $2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!

    YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT! ...

    REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS. AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

    NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT CLAIMS HE IS GOING TO REALLY GIVE US CHANGE ALONG WITH A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!!!!

    JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND?

    Just want to give a personal opinion here (nothing to do with politics) Obama is really arrogant, I dont know if it is because the media and his supporters are fluffing his pillows and praising his every word...which is basically hope or change...but he really thinks he already is the president. It's great that he is the 1st black nominee and that he has been able to get so much support with key words like change and hope but I think it isn't professional to already anounce yourself as the next president of the USA everytime you give a speech or make an appearance when elections aren't for anotehr 5 months. He did the same with Clinton.

    ANYTHING is better than four more years of Bush disastrous policies.

    (FYI - this is *why*everyone says it is Bush 3rd Term - McCain's stated policies are mere continuations of Bush policies. He brings no new strategies or ideas - only some vague platitudes about how staying the course will fix the catastrophic problems created by Bush et al.

    Talk about delusional...

    Here is the real scoop, short and to the point:

    Jimmy Carter who had experience in running government and business was not too awful smart.

    Barack Obama who has no experience in anything is not too awful smart.

    Jimmy Carter was the worst President we have ever had.

    Barack Obama, IF elected will surpass Jimmy Carter as the worst President we have even had.

    I find it funny that it's the democrats saying McCain is like Bush. The republicans see it different. McCain is a left moderate on most issues. If Obamas only argument is "I'm not Bush and McCain is" he is going to get a rude awakening when he has to bring some substance to the campaign in Nov.

    Yes thats true, If any other republican would be the nominee then people would still be saying that he was the next George Bush. Any republican would be the next George Bush according to most democrats.

    A second term for Jimmy Carter would certainly be preferable to a third term for the most corrupt and destructive administration in the history of the United States. Carter may have been a failure as a President, but not from any lack of good and noble intentions. Bush, on the other hand, brought from day one an administration that had no concern whatsoever for the needs of the American peiople, but rather an agenda to enrich those that already have more than they can possibly spend at the expense of the other 95% of America. Give me a noble failure over a corrupt failure any day.

    Each candidate brings something new to the table. GWB didn't follow his father's agenda (GHWB) and Bill Clinton didn't follow Jimmy Carter.

    President Clinton and President Carter, other than both being Democrats, had little contact and little in common. The Bush family, on the other hand, were preprogrammed from the start to carry out an agenda set in motion by the earlier administration headed by the former star of "Bedtime for Bonzo". I respectfully submit that it is rather naive wishful thinking to say that Dubya was not following an agenda set out in excruciating detail by his father and his father's cronies, including Vice President Cheney and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld.
