Obama has made numerous attempts to quote Lincoln SO WHY DOESN'T OBAMA USE THIS FAMOUS LINCOLN QUOTE: You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves. ... Abraham Lincoln

wicked soda boy 2012/04/02 18:19:11+3If only we had a current White House occupant who understands the meaning of those great quotes. Then, we'd have leadership, and a real economic recovery, instead of a false recovery, and a POTUS who creates discord, and jumps in front of whatever parade happens to be passing down the street at any given moment.

That and subtexts as to "why" he doesn't use this quote are loaded, full of crap.

Sounds to me like you are completely wrong, but if anyone disagrees with you they are automatically "liberal, Koolaid drinkers." I've been reading and relying on snopes.com for years, and have never EVER read something that sounded in any way biased, or not researched. I have also never heard any name-calling or slandering in their web-site, so I'll stick to that fascinating site, rather than the mud-slinging rhetoric I've come to expect at good old SH.
