There are many things Romney could be hiding by not releasing his tax returns.
Here is a list of a few:

--- that he is funded by a foreign power,

--- that he payed little or no taxes, or

--- that he is supporting more than one wife.

It's not what's in them. It's just that he thinks he is above all the little people, and has no duty to tell the little people anything he doesn't think they should know. Proper people don't do those things, only the little people have to show their tax forms to get a house loan, to get a job, to get credit of any kind.
