With a result of 182-238 the Smith-Amash amendment to remove the "indefinite detention" section (1031) of NDAA 2012 fails to pass congress.
163 Democrats voted Yay, but only 19 Republicans voted Yay
This just goes to show, that the only way to get things done in Washington nowadays is propose bigger government, because any bills advocating for smaller government are bound to fail.
