Slavery In Africa Today... Over 27 MILLION Slaves And Growing

chaoskitty123 2012/05/04 05:08:43
I had no idea this trade never actually ended or is so bad today
Their ancestors sold the ancestors of black Americans into slavery and what happens to them now is none of our concern
I signed the petition to end this
Who cares
This is untrue...

I was watching a story about a young black child killed in London whose arms, legs and head were removed. Finding the torso of the child floating in the river, a search began to find out what happened to him that lead London investigators to several African nations ultimately tracing the child's origin to West Africa and revealing a modern slave trade not just in Africa... but exporting Africans like this child to other countries like London. The child was nicknamed Adam to give him a name rather than just a nameless body to be forgotten. But his death was revealed to have been out of superstitious insanity where he was killed for reasons I still cannot comprehend. They know who brought the child into the country (or that the man definately trafficked African slaves into Europe) and he has brought thousands of children and adults into Europe... and he's not the only one.

Over 27 million slaves exist in Africa with the vast majority being in, or from, Africa right now according to many statistics with most being sold into sexual slavery but many are used as slave labor and they are even sold to people who kill them... with the people who provide the slaves knowing this is going to happen. The man they believe brought Adam into England is himself the leader of an evil cult that there is evidence revealing they kill people in their rituals.

Because most in the world think slavery is over or focus only on the past, the world today completely ignores that the African Slave trade never actually ended.

In America, civil rights leaders focus on the African Slave trade from the viewpoint that whites came to Africa, conquered Africa and carried away the slaves... a complete falsehood. African people were too fierce and diseases Europeans had no immunity to made this impossible. Two Europeans died for every African slave they captured trying to take them directly. But in Africa, there was already a thriving slave trade that had existed for thousands of years shipping slaves from the interior to ancient Egypt, to Arabia and when they learned white slave traders wanted African slaves... they began providing their undesirables and prisoners of war to the Europeans. The main exchange rate... seven slaves for one horse so that if one of the slaves survived to reach the America's... profit was earned because a horse was worth less than a slave.

This is where the African Slave Kingdoms come from and they were the ones who provided 99.9% of all the slaves exchanging them for horses in a process where the more horses they got, the more conquests they made and the more slaves they had to offer.

They even sued the countries they sold their slaves to trying to force them to restart the trade and today openly admit they did these things when they speak to black Americans because they don't view African Americans as African... they don't even like African Americans using that term for themselves as they are viewed as black Americans with whites born in Africa being more African than black Americans are.

Not only is the African slave trade still going, there are more Africans who have been enslaved in the past decade than the entire 400 years of what we call the African Slave Trade (excluding the ones born into slavery of course).

Do the research as this is a human catastrophe almost no one is talking about and if African slavery means so much to black Americans, maybe they should take up the fight as they more than anyone know the horrors of slavery from the history of their own people in this country. If they want to fight for justice for a past they cannot change... would not the first and foremost issue be ending the African Slave Trade which never actually ended????

I'm not trying to guilt anyone and I'm not trying to say black Americans owe anything to these people still living in slavery. I am saying that if a past that cannot be changed actually means more than a political crutch to fall back on when their leaders need to inflame the black community using slavery and racism as the focus of their call to arms... then should not that call to arms include the Africans still in slavery today?

It is a philosophical question about right and wrong as black Americans cannot undo the past their ancestors endured... but they can work to end the enslavement of others descended from those same ancestors who today are being enslaved, tortured and butchered?

Or is it time to set the past aside because the past can never be changed and to avenge the past or demand compensation... who is really more guilty, the people who bought the slaves, or the people who sold them and made them available for purchase in the first place.

Let's see if there is any wisdom among those who choose to respond because this isn't just an opinion piece... I want you to think about this and ask yourselves should black Americans be fighting for justice over a past that cannot be changed or focusing on the reality that this past never actually ended... and those providing the slaves to white slave traders are still providing African slaves to the highest bidder today?

And if you think that is bad, read this http://www.squidoo.com/CHILDSLAVERYTODAY up to 100 million children worldwide may be enslaved based on how you define slavery.

For all our talk about the African Slave Trade, we forget that it was the Africans themselves who provided most of the slaves because the trade existed before white slave traders arrived... and we often ignore the word "traders" as they didn't take them out of Africa by force, they bought them and brought them to the America's to sell for profit like any other commodity which alone is worthy of condemnation... but shouldn't the people who actually provided the slaves be held even more accountable? Without them providing the slaves, the African Slave Trade could not have taken place.

We have major problems of our own, and don't need to be pouring money and troops into the affairs of any other country. They don't even like us down there.

It is all on them, their problem, we are not the world's police. If people in this country do not wise up and look around at what is happening here we will all be sorry and what country is going to come to our aid when this country starts to implode with utter chaos...NONE

This is is the dark side of capitalism. You can be sure that some capitalist corporation is profiting from the backs of slaves. Some African exports came from the sweat of slaves and hundreds of corporations don't care but in fact are pleased.

So far it seems like this question has attracted four racists. I'm disgusted by the people who say that this isn't are concern. We aren't anymore important than they are.

That because we have to tell it all, African where all life came from did not want to here the Gospel, and just look at African today, Roman was a great nation she was so great the sun could not set on her greatness she did not want to here the Gospel she fell from her greatness, So will it be in America, gay married, Capital Punishment which is murder, Jesus Christ did not tell us to kill he said he that take sword shall perish by the sword, I am so happy that God came himself that we may know how to walk the walk as well as talk the talk. Today Jesus Christ say let a man or woman first deny him self first and take up his cross and follow Jesus Christ that a 2,4,7 24 hours a day I am a black America

I am sick of listening to blacks whine and complain about what a hard life they have instead of doing something about it the only blacks that I respect are those that act like every other American that loves their country and works for a living. They are lucky that they were born in a country that gives them the chance to do something with their lives instead of being born in Africa and while it may well be that their ancestors suffered for them to be here today that is true for most of us to one extent or another!

But you will not hear this on main stream TV, its not the news, they can't use the truth, it would take the left out.

They not only set the free, but take some into the homes and help them, and support them. This is what the church is doing.

I never underestimate how lucky I am that I have never had to face true evil in my life.
When I see this kind of thing, I understand the message behind the painting that sold for a huge bunch. The Scream.
