Since it has been reported that Mr. Zimmerman passed a lie detector test given to him after the Martin shooting, will ANY degree of reliability associated with lie detector tests now be debunked by those wanting to see Zimmerman lynched?

Fact us that "lie detector" test are not reliable. It measures the stress associated with the person answering questions. They are also not allowed in court for obvious reasons.
with that said the issue is not totally about what happened, its about WHY it happened.
even the Sanford police investigator wanted Zimmerman arrested because the ordeal was definately avoidable if not for Zimmerman's actions.

I never meant to imply with my poll that I put much, if any, stock in polygraph testing.

But, I put even less in anyone or anything that wants to make Zimmerman out to be a murderer, or anything more than self-defense at this juncture.

I have no issue with self defense. I would shoot a person I thought was an imminent threat to myself or another person. BUT at the same time I or any reasonable adult would not put myself in the situation that I may be forced to kill

you see, Zimmerman put himself in a situation by following a person behind a building. A person by Zimmermans own account (on the 911 tape) that he thought was high and had a weapon. the reason self defense does not pass the muster is because he made the conscious decision to put himself in that position and ignoring advice to not follow.

in other words, a person can not instigate an altercation then yell self defense because the person is getting his ass kicked

"Zimmerman put himself in a situation by following a person behind a building"
"A person by Zimmermans own account (on the 911 tape) that he thought was high and had a weapon."
"a person can not instigate an altercation"

Those first two quotes I pasted from your comment do not prove the third.
Oh, they indicate the possibility of the third quote, but they do not prove it.

Actually, as a result of Zimmerman following Martin, Martin could have "instigated" the "altercation".

Sure, had Zimmerman NOT followed Martin, there would have been NO altercation, but then it could also be said that if Martin had not gone behind the building or even been in that area which had experienced recent break-ins, there would have been no one for Zimmerman to "follow".

I have discussed this stuff long ago until I was really tired of the subject...And to be honest, I am still tired of it....It can be decided in court, and that's where it belongs IMO.

sorry but your statement lacks merit since it was an established fact that Martin had a right to be there.
the Sandford Police investigators knew this and asked for a warrant to arrest him but was overided by the chief. the investigator saw that the incident was avoidable on Zimmermans part. also do not forget that Martin was a minor, meaning he was not at the age to make the correct decisions where as Zimmerman is 10 years an adult

"sorry but your statement lacks merit since it was an established fact that Martin had a right to be there.'

SORRY, but my statement lacks no merit relative to what I stated...I never mentioned ANYTHING about ANYONE NOT having the RIGHT to be ANYWHERE.

If you want to argue this...Argue it with someone else...There are PLENTY of polls and posts about this subject matter and this case.

Regardless, DON'T accuse me of stating or implying something that I did NOT state or imply.

Yeah, I could...But, it's my poll, and when someone comments on it, I get a notice about it.

I always respond to comments made on my polls at my discretion...This is an old one...Find something new.

So, better that YOU STFU on this particular poll than I, OK?...lol

Of course, you can comment and edit within the comment boxes you have already posted to your heart's content...Have fun with it...lol

    Bye, bye.

what an A-hole, and the tipical liberal. you have him found guilty before the trial. and if zimmerman's head hadn't been beat in the cops would have very likely held him for at least 24 hours.
zimmerman will have to live the rest of his live knowing he had to take a life, but i;m sure you know he just did it for the pleasure

head beat in? he has superficial head injuries that the police investigator says did not show the "beating" he claimed. and THAT is from the investigator on scene with the Sandford police.
secondly I am not a liberal. why is it that you people think that any view that is not yours must be from a oposing politcal party?
lastly how typical is it that YOU claim his head was beat in when the evidence does not support reasoning to stalk a person. yes he is guilty of stalking a person and instigating the incident which is why self defense is a hard sell.
you cant say you think a person is high and think he has a weapon then for some reason follow them. a reasonable person would not do that. but Zimmerman had his gun and it gave him "9mm" courage

Wrong...No "guilt" has been PROVEN of ANY KIND.

Now get the hell out of here, Mr. "moderate" (wink, wink).

As a conservative, I am much more fond of a liberal than a "moderate".

    I'll bet you are too...lol

You know you're going to get all kinds of idiots claiming that they could pass a lie detector test, it doesn't mean anything. All of them will know somebody that did it. They are too stupid to realize they will be accusing themselves as guilty liars.

Absolutely. They have already pictured Trayvon as a innocent 12 year old child, when in reality he was a big, husky gang member.

As for the LSM, they have already shown their side, which naturally is againt Zimmerman.

When a lynch mob goes into a feeding frenzy , hard for them to admit being wrong.
Media lies and loudmouths spurring the Circus forward Zimmerman has little chance of ever gaining his life back .

Absolutely, just as the website 'whitehouse.com' erroneously claimed the results of Larry Sinclair's test's showed that he wasn't being truthful about his homosexual encounters with 0bozo.

Regardless, the tests are not admissible in court but are useful in determining the likelihood of someone telling the truth when deciding whether or not to charge them with a crime.

Some people have been known to 'beat' the test by producing inconclusive results but I highly doubt that Zimmerman practiced the technique, knowing ahead of time he would be in that situation.

Same reason as the prosecutor of the Duke lacrosse team , The Texas DA prosecution of Ramos and Cambean , unbelievable prosecutions by DA's are not unheard of.

I'm sure he knew how to 'beat' one... at least according to LSM.

Although all one can really do is muddy the results.
