Since Barack Obama is Castigating the Republican Congress for NOT Doing their Job, is it Fair to Ask Him Where He was while the Democrat Congress wouldn't pass a Budget?

Obama is just pissed that he and his Dems cant keep recklessly spending without a budget like they were doing before a bunch of Dems got fired for sucking.

Now I"d really like to move them into irrelevant status in 2012 where not only can they not spend lavishly, but they can't Veto, appoint, or cast a deciding vote for anything. My only fear with that is will republicans really reverse the current trend or just slow it down.

I am saying this sarcastically, but it is hard to imagin how a person as dumb as bush was (according to Democrats) was able to so trash the economy when they held the purse strings!

And while we're at it, if the econmy is soo important to him, why did he only start getting involved after the repubs did a walk-out?

I don't begrudge the man his down time, but the only negative statistic that is falling during his Administration is his handicap!

He was hiding like the rest of his party that didn't want to pass a budget, for good reason.

To pass a budget you have to deal with reality, something the democrates have totally lost touch with since since taking power in 06. And with bozo o-bamboozler as the head of thir party you can't expect them to be serious about anything.

It's kinda hard to hide in the middle of a golf course. I don't begrudge him a weekly game of golf if he is busy the rest of the time doing the hard stuff. Since the Healthcare Bill and Corporate Reform he has been strangely absent and especially on the economy. It's as if he thinks his legacy will be those terrible items and not the horrible economy!

Truth is, I am tired of the blame game from both sides. I want answers and fulfillment of responsibility. All we get is posturing and accusations. When either Party gets power, suddenly debts keep mounting and what they said was so important is lost in the shuffle!

Just get the government and its tax ans spend policies out of OUR way and we'll fix it and give them the credit. But stop passing the buck!

I don't know where he was but there is not much he can do while congress tries to come to agreements on bills. Obama was left probably the biggest mess to undo in the history of our country thanks to the Bush Administration, His responcibilities are enormous and the rest of us have no idea what all he has to contend with on a daily basis. So wether he had a meeting, speaking engagement or was on a brief "vacation" get away no one should critisize until they walk in his shoes. Bush sure had his more than fair share of trips away as did Kennedy.

Obama and FDR both have something in common. They both took a bad situation, and through their policies, made it worse. I realize he is only one man, but for the first two years of his Administration, he had a willing Congress. Unemployment went from 6.5% to almost 10% and hasn't made a significant move since then.

Take all the vacation time you need, just do your duty and give attention where it is needed. But once Healthcare and Corporate regulation Reform, both of which are power grabs, he has disappeared from the scene!

Yes, a very fair question. Although, I do believe that Obama was a Senator (House of Representatives), not a Congressman - they are two different and separate entities.

I was referring to the Congress of the past two years that he has allowed to shirk their duty while he has been President without criticism. It seems he only thinks it is bad when Republicans do it.

Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I agree completely. The one and only hallmark of Obama's first (hopefully ONLY) term is summed up in the word "blame". He and liberals are STILL blaming EVERYTHING on President Bush. Hey, Obama, WHEN are YOU going to claim the "consequences" of YOUR Presidency!?

I am getting a bit sick of the blame game from both parties. When will we get a group of politicians who will just do the right thing instead of buying votes with our tax dollars. I guess we should answer that by asking ourselves why we keep electing such louses to high office!
