For many years, the U.S. Govt. has taken American money, giving our money to foreign nations claiming to be our allies, but do nothing for the United States. How many Presidential administrations have built corrupt governments who then turn against the U.S.? Such corrupt governments then turn on their own people. I lived in third world nations, seeing for myself. Then revolutions begin, but who really caused these uprisings.? Keep U.S. money in the United States. Common sense.! The U.S. has caused more wars, more hatred playing dictator of the world. America Keep money in U S

It is as though unless we buy allies, the whole world would turn against us. Does anyone ever stop to wonder why that seems to be the truth? Perhaps a little self-reflection would be in order.

There are so many countries we have given money to and really have seen nothing in return. So how do we say no without losing allies in the process? Dubya's administration forgave Africa's debt to us which was around $4 billion and to top it off he gave more money to them in the process.

I am sure there are many other presidents who have given money to countries during their terms but really we should be looking into our own relief.

Honestly the U.S. does not have many allies. I lived in Africa. Most money given to third world nations is not used for development. Nigeria alone was established by British, Greeks, Americans, many other foreign countries. They still did not know how to put in plumbing. Thousands of beggars in Lagos Streets were given nothing by the very oil wealthy Nigerian Govt. Bush gave billions to build Pakistan Military, then found out most U.S. money was going to Taliban, building a wealthy Pakistan govt. Pakistan was also allied with China. Pakistan used U.S. dollars to build a weapons system against India. Do we have such stupid politicians.? We can't make our own nation strong by making other nations who would attack us, so much stronger with U.S. money. That includes all other nations.

Americans are not being vocal enough against corrupt politicians. Too many Americans are turning into sheep. How for instance after listening to Mitt Romney's total ignorance and inexperience can any American of any class vote for Romney.? Of course President Obama did not do everything right, but I believe Obama is at least on the right path to correct what has been destructive to the United States. Too much dedication to one political party is not the safe or smart way to vote.

Sadly they are thinking of all the misses rather than the hits. You know what they say, you do a thousand things right but once you screw up none of that matters.

Same goes for Mitt as he still can't come to grips with the every day people and still can't understand that $20,000 is not middle class.

You and a lot of US-SH's think that because you give foreign aid, they vote for you in the UN.

In fact there is a name for it: Bribary
"Bribery is an act of implying money or gift giving that alters the behavior of the recipient. Bribery constitutes a crime and is defined by Black's Law Dictionary as the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official or other person in charge of a public or legal duty.

The International Criminal Court is located in The Hague, the Netherlands.
The United nations is in New-York.

There is a big difference between how Americans view the UN on their soil and the Dutch view the ICC on their soil.
We are proud that The Hague is where the ICC is located.

People look to the those places, yes, but not to take care of them.

Don't wory if you are afraid the US makes payments to the ICC.
Nothing is contributed by the US.

Supporting Israël: What are the reasons?

What I notice is that many Americans combine the Jewish religion and the state Israël to be one and the same.

    That is a wrong assumption:
The state Israël has no state-religion, neither is Judeïsm one.
    Seperation between church and state.

    The state Israël:
Has a government, politicians, make laws that don't represent, protects, endorse human rights of every citizen.
As governments and politicians are they have often their own agenda, just plain politics.

    Religion in Israël:
Among Judeïsm you will find different Christian denomanations, Muslims but also people with no religious believes at all.

Many Americans view Israël as Israël, the Holy land, Old Testament, the land where Jesus lived.
There is no problem with that at all.

However you have to keep openminded for what the state Israël, their government and politicians are doing!
Because THEY are supported by the US, without any restriction, without any criticism, without adressing human rights issues (issues that the US demands of other countries to abide by the Human Rights)

If you want some peace in that region the US should be more impartial.

Don't make the mistake that critical comments towards the STATE Israël and its government are anti-semtic.
    These are two different things.

We have had other countries in the Mid-East that were our allies, such as Iran, but then the Shaw was overthrown by radical Muslems and the ayatollah came to power and our people were taken hostage.

IMHO, the only purpose of foriegn aid should be to help countries that share our political views, and any country that does not should not be given any of our money.

Call it what you will, but to give aid to our enemies is paramount to treason.

We once had a president that said, "speak softly but carry a big stick" and I believe his words were true, so when soft words do not work, it is time to use that big stick.

So any country that openly supports the terrorist, that continue to attack us, should be open to the use of whatever weapons we can bring to bear upon them.

With our air power, there is no reason to employ troops on the ground when we have the capability of destroying cities and govenments from the air without putting any troops in danger, and if government approved terrorist continue to attack us, we should eliminate them along with any government that backs, sponsors, or supports them in amy way.

I realize this sounds harsh, but the safety of Americans should be paramount to us, and should be accomplished by whatever means required.
