Should websites like bestcore.com allowed?

It's my belief that watching people and animals getting killed desensitizes people to the suffering and inspires others to commit acts of barbarism. I'm 98% for free speech, but snuff videos, real life gore, and videos of animals being tortured (Saw some Arabic kids in an orphanage lite a screaming puppy on fire, Youtube). I wonder if Luka Magnotta didnt start killing animals after he saw 3 guys one hammer? On the flip side the operator of the site claims that he inspires others to value life more and drive slower, sorta like 'Bloody Asphalt' did in drivers ed.

    Site may be distasteful (I haven't visited it, and don't plan to), but unless you want to live in a dictatorship, learn how to be responsible for the tech in your own house.

    I agree with you regarding animals, but it is not our right to restrict the Internet. No country owns it, so no country's laws can control it

    So who are you, or who am I, to tell anyone else what is or is not "allowed"? That is, outside our minor children.

    There is this device called a "switch". You can operate your own switch without permission or even agreement from anyone. Learn how to use it.

    How do you even know about such things? hmmmm? I think as long as the video's depicted don't break any laws they should be allowed even though I find them personally abhorrent. We cannot start censoring free speech because we find the material offensive.

    Gotta go with this. I'm not in favor of censorship, but you don't give people things they can't handle either. Parents teach children not to play with matches, etc.

    Watching animals be tortured or killed would make me so sick I'd be unable to do anything. The mere thought makes me queasy, and I'm having a hard time not crying. I totally do NOT need to have my senses assaulted with ugly, wanton, random cruelty.

    Horrific as that crap is, I think it would be tragic for the entire internet to appoint someone as a universal moral guardian over web content. Today it's gore, tomorrow it's porn, next week it'll be political criticism... all we'd have left in the end is a bunch of amazon.com ads.
