The U.S. helps save the Egyptian people from the tyrant Mubarak -- and then radicals attack our embassy. We help Libya free themselves of the horrific Muammar Gaddafi, and they storm our embassy and murder our diplomats. Should the US suspend aid to the countries that commit these crimes?

Lawmakers and other officials stepped up calls Thursday for the United States to put heavy pressure on the governments whose people are storming U.S. diplomatic posts across the Middle East and North Africa -- even if it means freezing aid and expelling diplomats from Washington.

We were TOLD we helped Libya free themselves of the horrific Muammar Gaddafi. The US embassy in Libya wasn't attacked until we helped overthrow Libya's government. We helped put Al Qaeda aka Al CIA in power.

The Syrian rebels would be immeasurably weaker today without al-Qaeda in their ranks. By and large, Free Syrian Army (FSA) battalions are tired, divided, chaotic, and ineffective. Feeling abandoned by the West, rebel forces are increasingly demoralized as they square off with the Assad regime's superior weaponry and professional army. Al-Qaeda fighters, however, may help improve morale. The influx of jihadis brings discipline, religious fervor, battle experience from Iraq, funding from Sunni sympathizers in the Gulf, and most importantly, deadly results. In short, the FSA needs al-Qaeda now.

If al Qaeda becomes a part of the Syrian freedom fighters, then the US can only blame itself for that tragedy. America's lesson of day would be "Don't abandon defenseless, and helpless people. America should have helped in Syria, now it will only become another Afghanistan.

Just don't associate the whole entire Syrian Revolution/Insurgency with al Qaeda from the start. It wasn't meant to be a fundamentalist revolution.

No country has attacked U.S. Embassies. If you can prove a foreign government has orchestrated the protests against the U.S. Embassies then punish the country but when the protests are just that protests you can't. There have been violent protests in India and Australia also do you punish them also?
In Libya what the hell do you expect the government doesn't have a 100% control yet, the West just helped them overthrow the old regime that has a hell of a lot of supporters out there that are pissed off with not being at the gravy train anymore. It's starting to look more like this was a terrorist attack that used the demonstration and riot as a cover.

Plus stop all airlines flying into Egypt and other places, stop tourism for at least 3 months! Let them know we mean business.. I believe we should stop supporting Arab countries with our hard earned tax dollars and rebuild America become self sufficient so that we do not need there oil and and not put our military young men life's in danger our our U S diplomats. Evidently the Arab people have no respect for life because they continue to kill us and Each other. So my question is what must we do to stop millions of are tax dollars from going over seas to these countries?

It's not a question of just cutting aid to countries that try and kill the people who are trying to help them. It's a question of cutting all aid, especially to countries like isreal who use the money to murder us citizens and incite war. I don't know how the government doesn't see that there is poverty at home and government aid can be better used

THIS is a NO-BRAINER! We, as a nation realized decades ago that foreign-aid was doing nothing but wasting tax-payers money. Yet the government, as in elected representatives and political-appointee's keep sending OUR MONEY, and OUR resources just to get treated like the ENEMY......over, and over, and over..............!
To get it to stop.....WE MUST UN-ELECT ALL of these people that have exceeded two terms, and get the message to the remaining public-servants what THEIR JOB REALLY IS!

Two days ago I was furious, and would have, and actually, I believe I did respond yes. However, when I see the people of these countries protest the killings, and respond lovingly to the US, my anger has diminished. I want the killers punished. But I do not want an entire nation to perish because of a few evil men.

Obviously, this was a planned attack, and had nothing to do with the film. I'm furious at our government for trying to blame freedom of speech for this. The movie was a ruse.

I just don't want to harm an entire nation of people, some of whom have protested, and rejected these attacks, because of some evil men.
