Should We Suspend Aid to Countries That Attack U.S. Embassies?

I'm 75 years old and have watched government foreign aid start then get bigger and bigger until it is now preposterous the amount of money they are giving to our enemies. Originally helping our allies wasn't too bad but now we ignore our allies and aid our enemies. It's outrageous.

And zero Embassies. They serve no purpose.

H E L L yes! We should not be funding anything there...they don't want us and we don't need to be in their,culture...bring our ppl, money and guns home and stop meddling.

You can't blame the act of a few terrorists as a reason to punish the whole Country.

Actually, we should stop all aide except for Israel. The rest of the world can sink or swim on their own. They don't deserve our money.

Circumventing the obvious flaw, in your question; (which is written in a misleading manner) No, we should not deny aid to a foreign Government, simply because a few of its citizens killed a few of ours. If you're going to use that logic, the United States of America should discontinue aiding its own citizens, seeing as they murder one another, on a constant basis.

The Americans are ours to take care of but NOT the mideastern ppl. We are not responsible for them and nothing we do to help is really helping,anything. If we,leave then they fight each other.

Absolutely! They want to attack our embassies then I say let em fend for themselves. We don't need them. I say screw all of those low life wipes! When they start killing their own folks and they start getting desperate for help from other countries they can go get it from some other country "other" than us. We've been a doormat long enough for those a$$hats! We've lost enough good folks for those unthankful jerks!

Mind your own business, create your own society, let the world emulate or reject it. It is their call. It is our choice to make this land from "sea to shining sea" the envy of the world. You mess with us or our allies that TRULY share our ideals, we have an air force and a navy.

It's time we stopped ALL foreign aid. WE'RE BROKE!!! We're borrowing money from other countries, then giving it to other countries??

We should suspend aid to all Muslim countries. None of them contriute anything to world peace.

It's a strategic decision based on who might fill the vacuum, how much worse things might become without funding, etc.... In MOST cases a level headed analysis will tell you pulling funding will run counter to our goals.

Because funding people who insist on being our enemies is SO productive. *sigh*

Imagine the European economy, if the US stopped all our aid and closed up all our bases and brought all of our nice toys home..

They would actually have to spend money on their own defense instead of the American taxpayer subsidzing their defense since ww II...

Which would put more of their people to work. Assuming the WANT them to work...

So the fact that we are trillions of dollars in debt doesnt matter? We have states going into bankruptcy, people starving and dying across the country on the streets, yet we send all our money overseas.... how does that make sense?
