Should we make a law that says you can only own two guns?

Name the U.S. cities, where violent crime rates have skyrocketed with the reduction of restrictions on guns.
(HINT: *NO WHERE*)
Or put it another way: Name the U.S. cities with *STRICT* gun control laws *AND* crime rates *LOWER* than the national average.

You state: “For we cannot control the criminal when we allow them to get a gun and then they go ahead and use it.”

Criminal by the very definition disobey the existing laws.
So why do you believe that those willing to commit rape, robbery and murder, would obey a gun control law?

No they don't, a gun is simply an inanimate object, a tool: Nothing more.

Then why does the USA have more murders committed with fist and feet, than *ALL* of Japan's murders combines?

The worst mass murders in U.S. history, didn't even involve guns.

But I would *NOT* kill you, unless it was to protect myself or my loved ones from your *CRIMINAL ATTACK*.
Why should we develop laws and policies that *ONLY* affect the *LAW-ABIDING*?
Why do you believe that those willing to violate the much more serious laws against rape, robbery and murder, would somehow be concerned about a *POSSESSION* law?

Law enforcement is one of the *SAFEST* careers in the USA.
One of the reasons, may be because each officer is *ARMED* while at work.
Another reason law enforcement is one of the *SAFEST* careers in the USA: Criminals go to some trouble to *AVOID* contact with the police, while actively *PREYING* on unarmed non-cops.
And let's not forget, the police seldom arrive in time to even arrest as suspect, much less be in danger from the criminals.
Controlling the guns of the law-abiding, does *NOTHING* to reduce violent crime.
Besides, THE POLICE HAVE NO DUTY TO PROTECT INDIVIDUALS:

This means that if you want protection from violent crime, for you and your loved ones; it’s up to YOU and YOU ALONE to provide it.

But ask yourself this question, in your heart of hearts: Why should a cop risk his life to save something so insignificant (your life or the lives of your loved ones), that even the owner is unwilling to protect it?

The best solution is also the simplest: Anyone walking our streets as a freeman, should be able to do so *ARMED*.

If someone is a menace to society, either through mental defect or criminal behavior, they should *NOT* be allowed to walk out streets FREE, they should be confined until such time as they are no longer a menace to society.

It's *ALREADY* a crime for a criminal to commit rape, robbery and murder; what new laws do you honestly believe a *CRIMINAL* would obey, and why would they obey the new laws?

While such stupidity may sound “reasonable” to the profoundly ignorant, the intelligent aren't confused about the meaning of “shall not be infringed”.
The intelligent also know that *FELONS* are *LEGALLY EXEMPT* for any and all gun registrations under Haynes v. U.S., 390 U.S. 85.
Again, controlling the *CRIMINALS* would be the intelligent thing to do.

Even if I gave you $10,000 to do it with, you couldn't *LEGALLY* buy meth within 500 mile of where you are.
However, if you were willing to violate the law, you could buy meth for $20 within 25 miles of where you're sitting.
