President Obama has fought opponents of gun control “every step of the way,” according to a new campaign ad for Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. (D., Ill.).

Hitting Rep. Jackson’s opponent, Debbie Halverson, on her gun control record, the ad says: “Debbie Halvorson sided and voted with the Republicans and the NRA against gun control […] President Obama and Congressman Jackson fought them every step of the way.”

Considering 0bama took the Presidential Oath of Office, does he belong in office when he so clearly disagrees with the Constitution?

For that matter, does anyone who is (for ideological reasons or otherwise) unable to honor their oath of office belong in the executive office?

I do belive that anyone who wants a gun should have the opportunity to obtain one but also some exceptions must be made. I doubt anyone would argue for the right of a criminal convicted of a violent crime to own a gun. Also if a person is determined mentaly ill it is in the best interest of him and society that he not be allowed to own one.

Also owning a gun is a great responsibility and there should be some way to educate people of that resposibility. Perhaps a test similar to that of a drivers lisence?

We have three votes. One, the free election voting booth. Two, the Grand Jury vote. Three, the vote to nullify bad law as a juror by finding the accused innocent if the law is Unconstitutional.

We also have three boxes of Liberty. The Ballot Box, the Jury Box and the Cartridge Box.
The Cartridge Box being the second amendment.

Impeach Obama for his total disregard for the Constitution, and his authoritarian view of his role as a public servant.

No elected official has any business trying to 'alter' the Constitution while in office, unless their constituency requests it. And if this is so, then it must be done according to the rules already established.

No, but the next champion has been weak on the second amendment in his past as well. We are screwed...

I lived in Mass. while he was Gov. over there and he did nothing for us gun owners, signed an assault weapon ban for the state when the federal one sunseted. As a Second Amendment voter who is very concerned about the economic strength of our nation, I find we lose either way.

Fire arms license be allowed only to CONSERVATIVES and liberals who do not want , should be disqualified to obtain any license / fire arms ...... THEY MAY AMEND THE LAW WITH THIS PROVISION

I don't recall the Presidential Oath of Office read like "I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend [several convenient parts of] the Constitution of the United States [to the extent that they are expedient or appeal to my Backers or Bundlers]. As Obama plays his dirty game, he represents the Oaf of Office and nothing more.

This is the kind of stuff you don't learn in our state run school these days. Lenin said all it would take to cause the American collapse is the removal of America's patriotism, morality, and religion. What's missing from our basic education these days? Hollywood films? Main stream press? The Battle of Athens was an eye opener for me, but I've been aware of the anti-American fifth column for years. What would it do to Occupiers?
