Well the White House says yes.

The White House immigration policy would not prevent illegal aliens who have committed identity theft or have been driving cars without licenses from obtaining work permits, an administration official told reporters during a press conference on Friday.

It will also be extended to some illegals already in jail and to some who have already been approved for deportation by judges, he said.

The work permits — and the complementary access to welfare programs — will also be granted to individuals “with a significant disability … or [who are] far, far below the national poverty level,” the official said.

Obviously no person who is in this nation illegally should be allowed to remain - that's the meaning of "Illegal." Regarding those who have committed crimes it is even more imperative that they be deported after they serve their time. I can't count the number of DUIs that I have read of in San Diego and the Boise area as well where the driver was an illegal who had been caught before. I've also read of numerous cases across the country of Illegals who committed heinous crimes after being let off a number of times and allowed to remain in the country, despite their illegal status.

Why should we allow them to stay here? Let them go back to where they came from, commit crimes there and get arrested under the laws of their own country. Our weak laws will only encourage them to commit more and more offensive ones.

I do understand that most don't consider it as important as I do for every vote cast to be a vote by a qualified voter. It is as important that a voter present clear proof of qualification as when one goes to a bank, drive a car, etc., etc.

But then I am old enough, have read enough and have learned enought to realize that when our voting process is corrupted enough, it will mean nothing to place a vote. Then, our goose is cooked as far as freedom.

It is not that much a hardship to obtain proof of identity. I believe everyone should possess that proof.

It is mathematically possible that you could win an election and not have the popular vote. It is very unlikely to happen. This nearly happened in 1960. In fact it was reported in many papers that it had happened. Once the votes were finished after Kennedy had already been elected by the electoral college Kennedy had won by i/10th of 1 percent of the popular vote The electoral college tally was 303 to 219

I should tell you that what I was agreeing with you on is the part about them not having thorough report on vote fraud. There is voter fraud going on and it is a big issue. It was documented that during the 2000 elections they were dragging people of the of the street in Florida to vote and this was going after the polls were suppose to be closed.

When you go to get a driver license here they take your digital finger print at the start of the process and then again when they take your picture to make sure that you are who you say you are and at that same time they as if you wish to register to vote. I have had to prove myself many times when I go to vote. Did not bother me at all. Most of the time my neighbor is there and she know me even. Lol She has been looking at my stuff for years and live just across the street from me. Calls me by name when I walk up to get my voting pin number. You have to have a pin number here to start the computer to vote. I bet that once they have everybody thumb print they will use that to ID you. Great idea as far as I am concerned.
