BP stands for "BIG PROBLEM."

No one has done more to threaten the future of deep offshore drilling than BP
.
They have been sited 760 times in the last 3 years for safety violations. Next company only 8 times.

One fine alone was 303 million for filling fraudulent reports to cover up the death of 30 of their own employees in Texas. Now another 11 workers have been killed in this disaster.

Plans a,b,c,d, and e, demonstrate that they have no workable plan to stop the spewing of this oil. The only hope is the 2 relief wells they are mandated to drill, that will be completed in August

BP and deep water offshore drilling is not only unsafe, it is threat to a way of life and the gulf states environmental security.

I just dont understand how an offshore drilling rig can have no fix for when a well bursts. When I heard the executives at BP talking about stuffing well with trash and golf balls I knew we were in troulble. And where are the massive ships out vacuuming up the oil? Still no reason to stop offshore drilling. We need better inspections of rigs.

I think offshore drilling....

Is only a temporary solution. Ya it might bring gas prices down 10 cents but will we have wanted the oil later when it is all gone?

Only if it brings the price of Gasoline and other petro products down where it's reasonable once more.. until other power sources can be invented as a Longer lasting Battery for electric Cars

The U.S. Coast Guard said Wednesday it scheduled a controlled burn in the Gulf of Mexico to minimize environmental risks of an oil slick coming from the site of the sunken oil rig Deepwater Horizon as concern about the accident mounts.

The Coast Guard said the burn is expected to remove "large quantities of oil" following the April 20 explosion that resulted in the sinking of the $600 million rig and the presumed death of 11 missing workers. The well has been leaking an estimated 1,000 barrels of oil a day.
