Yes ma'am, gladly. The nation of the United States of America was created by men who wanted religious freedom for all. And the US has always prided itself on not respecting or establishing a religion. Putting a particular god on money or in a pledge is respecting a religion. This is not what this country is about. The words "Under God" were added in 1954 and were not in there originally. Think about it this way, what if it said "Under Allah"?
True but "Under God is in our national anthem and has be recorded going back to the 1800's on our coins. The Christians don't ask for much but it has been proved over the centuries that if they are not protected they are persecuted. It should remain. Read their literature you may as well say "Under Satan".....oh but wait...we are taught that their will be a One World Economy (hmmm), One Religion (uh huh...working on that one) and One World Government (see ya see it happening now?). I truly believe why this has become such a major issue of late is because of the agenda to be fulfilled. oh and when you have a one type "money" it will be in implanted and the ONLY way you will get it is by worshiping a particular god...I hope you know who that is. Thank you for your polite reply. :)
And if this is what we are going to stand for I dont think "Under God" should be on the pledge. Granted, its not the biggest deal in the world to have it there but it upsets a lot of people and it makes up look like liars from an outside perspective.
The only people that upsets are those trying to get God and Christians out of our culture. I mean let's use some common sense here....this has not been a long standing issue until the atheist raised her soulless self and we as a people ignored it (mainly my parents generation) so in turn when the Federal government took over our educations system to unify it and the unions came in we had a federal indoctrination system and now we have more stupid people than ever in our nation who do as they are told aka non free thinkers.
It violates the 1st amendment, "congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." If anyone thinks it DOESN'T "establish" religion, simply imagine if the words were changed from "god" to "allah." God is the judeo-christian god, and reciting those words in the pledge shows an endorsement of judeo-christian religion, just as changing the words to "allah" would show an endorsement of islam. Endorsement of judeo-christian religion is fine if you are a jew or a christian, but is NOT fine if you believe in the 1st amendment.
Actually you really need to get a grip on the knowledge of why the 1st amendment was written...then you will understand the truth instead of you learned programmed propaganda.
Thanks, but I actually HAVE "a grip on the knowledge of why the 1st amendment was written, " which is why I understand the truth instead of your "learned programmed propaganda."
These people make me sick that think it should be removed. They will be the first ones trying to get the black Friday deals at the stores and all the other special sale items at Christmas time (religious holiday) and take the jobs created because of sale increase's during that time of year ect.
To be totally honest with you and everybody on SH, I honestly and sincerely am probably the easiest person to get along with. I have befriended all kinds of people, all walks of life, listened with interest to life stories sprinkled with all kinds of expletives, sat and chatted with people from just about every religion (including atheist, if you want to call it a religion) there is to be had and I've treated each and every one of them with total respect. I am being honest here.
That having been said, I truly believe that we good-hearted Americans, guardians of freedom throughout the world, defenders of downtrodden, etc., have become trapped into a liberal bent which has developed into a nightmare. In our efforts to be "fair and equitable" to all kinds of people, we are destroying the very core of what made the United States of America so unique.
Our Constitution and our democratic republic were developed under traditional Judeo-Christian principles and ideals. But no one was ever forced to follow any particular religion. Respect for other people's beliefs was always given in the form of tolerance and sometimes accommodation. Whether they like to think this way or not, atheists and muslims and various other (minority) religious persuasions were allowed to exist and functio...

Whether they like to think this way or not, atheists and muslims and various other (minority) religious persuasions were allowed to exist and function in America because of these very same Judeo-Christian principles and ideals. Now, however, in the interest of PC and left-wing insanity, we have got minority religions disrupting the peaceful religious climate by demanding change to the very system that enabled them to even be able to speak, period.
I'm sorry, I'm sick of it. No more accommodations for minorities. "In God We Trust" has been our motto for a long, long time. It is imprinted on our money, it is contained in many of our precious documents. It belongs to America and this bullcrap that's going on about removing God and no Christmas trees and all that kind of nonsense has got to cease immediately.
Not just picking on muslims, but using them an easily-recognizable example, when the muslims take over America and become the majority, then let them try and change our Judeo-Christian trappings. Lotsa luck. Until then, it will be One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice For All.
I completely agree that Christians should be protected to avoid persecution. But that does not mean it should be put on money.
My point is that people are different and I think a single world government is a terrible idea.
My bottom line point is that people have different beliefs and this country was not founded on the idea that one religion would dominate the others.
Again, sorry for late reply.
You are correct it was not founded that the government could not make a State Church/Religion.
