ANYone who is not driving safely, getting traffic violations, having fender-benders or worse, should be taken off the street, and I don't care if they are 19 or 90. Age has nothing to do with it. Get off the backs of Seniors. It's hard enough being old without making it impossible for us to get to Drs. and grocery stores and Church.

No. but after a certain age, more frequent re-examination should be required and licenses issued for shorter periods. As long as a person can demonstrate competence in this way, (s)he should be allowed to continue driving.

People below 15 really should not be on the road and I'm not certain about 15 year olds either. People above 60 start to get progressively more dangerous, but I'm unsure about where the cut-off should be and more favor a system of testing them with some regularity to flag those who are developing problems and transition them away from driving.

The problem is that children don't want to disrespect their elders, don't want to make them cry.

Age does not determine how smart or stupid you are.

no it should be based on health....age does not have a conclusive guide to how well a person can drive, but as long as their eyesight is good and they are not suffering from any illness that could affect their driving, then age is not a factor....

I agree with the minimum age limit. As far as a maximum, then no, I don't think there should be an arbitrary limit. I do, however, think that a bit more testing should be done to ensure that drivers (and not just the elderly) are competent and capable of assuming the responsibilities associated with driving.

Old people aren't usually the scariest thing of the road. However, I do agree that some people should start having drivers test annually after a certain age. But not judged like teenagers getting a license are judged-- testers would look for reaction time, their ability to pay attention to their surroundings, if they can keep up with traffic without hindering the above, ect. Of course, if one is blatantly disobeying traffic laws, that's as good a reason as any to take away their license.

Yes there should be, however upon reaching that age limit, the person should be able to apply for a waiver with a more stringent qualification to drive process, i.e. the person should be required to do an actual drivers test say every year in order to renew their license obviously taking into account renewal fees etc.

I don't think there should be an age limit but after a certain age people should be tested regularly to be sure they are still capable of driving safely

I think Driving school should be start at 14 in grade 9 and you have your license by the time your 16. Should be a mandatory class in school.

always with the "limits" and "rules" and "bans"... Sheesh.

How about a competency test instead of an uncompromisable "limit"?
    reasonable?

Once you hit a certain point with either your eyesight is going out or you just get really old, and should be tested for licensing every single year to make sure your (and my) old ass isn't a menace on the roads :D.

Seriously, old people on the road effing scare me. I was riding the bus the other day and some old bastid pulled right in front of us and almost got taken out, and I was on the right side of the bus and saw the genuine surprise on the old dudes face that a GIGANTIC BUS had just come from out of nowhere ... ROFL!

Sorry but given the fact that my life was forever and irrevocably changed by a motor vehicle accident, altho ironically that one was the other way around, young girl texting on her phone while driving and ran through a red light ... BUT that's not the issue. The issue is that I take driving and being safe very seriously, and I know if I were old, lets say 60+, I wouldn't mind proving to people I was still safe behind the wheel of a car.
