The government has taken over the people. NDAA proves that.

Oh I see, so you are claiming that this is all a lie. The bill did not have any detention in it and that the LA Times is making up a story and even left wingers like Mother Jones is lying about this bill. I mean if the LA Times is lying about the bill and the court case everyone must be lying. So why don't you give me the link to where you get your information, the one that tells you alone that this bill does not contain what everyone in the world says it contains. So me where you sheeple get your information, because even your beloved Mother Jones says you lie..

No, I'm claming it's exaggerated to the point it scares people into becoming irrational. That's what sensationalist news stories are ment to do, confuse you into believing something sinister is at play, when it's not!!!
All NDAA acts (every year) have something to do with detention of persons the government suspects of involvement in terrorism, that's how they keep your ass safe. How do YOU suppose they should determin Americas national defense, by asking YOUR permission first, YOU who know nothing of how to keep America safe from foreign terrorists?????
Not everything that happens is done so to take YOUR rights away, some of it is done to misinform you to becoming the delusional ranting person you are right now.

Mother Jones, are those fools still publishing????
My God, you ned to get a grip on life.

You want to understand, here's a link for ya!

Other countries make it very clear, if you don't work for a company that pays taxes on your wages, you will not be eligible for what I'll call their social security. that's sounds like a good idea to me.

They don't pay income taxes but they pay plenty of other taxes. If they own a house they pay taxes, if they buy almost anything except food they pay taxes, They pay taxes on any service they require. There are plenty of taxes besides income tax.

Did Jesus of Nazareth force upon those who he fed and clothed a term or place a value upon an object of wealth or food?

Money is just paper extracted from trees, gold is a simple mineral and quality of life is an unmeasured right that every human being no matter where they are born or how they live shall be ensured at least some symbol of be it the protection of law and order or the nourishment of food. It depends how you measure up contribution to society and the planet I suppose, I'd rather know that some of my money is going to ensuring public services/supporting those who need help because when it comes down to it that is how individuals contributions to life are measured.

I don't know if you believe in god or the holy Lord but if you do, I imagine he is looking down on thee with great shame right now.

Well I don't believe in him myself but I hear he's pretty popular.

You do realize that your selfish statement right there goes against biblical teachings?

Who is ever to say that work should be rewarded?

That is a society driven hypothesis developed through ancient Greek and Roman civilizations the idea of placing value on work rather than working to feed and help your community.

So my question to you is which one is the right social ideology to follow by the bible?

Government is at it's most primal when it ensures that those who have within their constituency contribute to those who do not have.

Monetary value is very objectionable, I think instead of simply saying you're a good christian I think you (and to be fair alot of others on this site) should truly look at how they act and how that compares to the bible.

If there's one thing that annoys me it's 'Evangelical' Conservatives who seem to ignore half the bibles teachings and then drag religion into politics like they're speaking on behalf of faith when they say 'my land is my land, my money is my money and my health is mine to pay for'.
