I believe foreign aid to ALL countries should be severely curtailed until we are in a better financial position. Threatening to take away Social Security from elderly American citizens; particularly since SS is the only income a lot of them have. But as far as Pakistan is concerned, starting now, no more money period.

Pakistan has just been re-categorized as our adversary. Why would you give money to your adversary?

There is no reason to give money to Pakistan. None. The bleeding needs to stop with Obama.

Foreign "Aid" to an undercover enemy nation like "Pakastinks" those dirty rats, definitely should end without question. They have sold information and secrets to our enemies than any foreign aid.

When we are selling our debt to China and Saudi Arabia, and who knows who else.I think it's time to end all foreign aid.

It just doesn't make good financial sense to be borrowing money and then wasting it on foreign aid or foreign wars. That includes Israel also. It also does not make sense to invest in infrastructure projects that will end up costing this country more money every year. We created and armed the Taliban and now we are getting those munitions back from them.

It's billions, and yes, because they wanted to keep getting billions. The longer we're in Afghanistan, the more money the Pakistanis make.

Pakistan is a peculiar ally of the most untrustworthy kind. Back in the 1980's Pakistan did not allow Americans in the country but somehow Obama was allowed in during his student days. That means that no one with an American visa was allowed entrance to Pakistan. Also it is hard to believe that Pakistan would not know that Osama Bin Laden was not housed in their country. Unless there is more than we will ever know just because of the secrecy of the CIA.

My answer is

We should stop giving "aid" to every country except for Israel.

The U.S. has already suspended AID to Pakistan until the investigation is over determining whether they knew about UBL's location.

We should stop giving money to EVERY government.

Let individuals and charitable organizations give what they will to whom they deem needing it. They are much more efficient at getting the money and supplies to the designated recipients, whereas the government only fills the coffers of the dictators.

Right now, especially, us giving another government money, is like the bum on the street giving the pennies he found to the bum on the other side of the street. WE ARE BROKE!

Not only that. Stop buying mid-east oil. Drill our own.

Good question. We do send them a lot of money....but they have nukes..but no delivery system.

The politicians have put America over $14 trillion in debt. We has lost jobs, still losing jobs, savings, retirement and homes. The politicians are all doing well. They haven't taken a hit during this recession and crisis. They are still living lives like royalty on OUR money!

I don't understand why the American citizens are taking this lying down? Gas and food prices are hitting all time record highs with no end in sight! With the debt and inflation we are being forced to accept as our responsibility, why are We The People allowing any of our money to go to foreign aid .. period!

In fact, why are we not beating down our politicians doors? It's because everyone has been indoctrinated and very well trained to play the blame game and point fingers at each other instead of everyone pointing fingers at the real problem ... Washington DC.

I think it is obvious, you people are not going to change and America is doomed.

I see no benefit to the US to continue giving money away to foreign countries especially those known to harbor terrorists.

A major natural disaster ... then let them hire us to help. We solicit the money from the people as they raise money from theirs (or their government) and we will spend the money rebuilding the damage using our Army corp of Engineers. If their countrymen are hostile to our efforts than we will leave and take the money, equipment, and manpower wth us.

No second chances ... if they want us back then they raise the money on their own to hire us. I am sure lower gas prices at the pump can be negotiated and back to under $2 gal would be the starting point.

You will have to get all the government taxes off too. I just heard over 40 cents now, just in federal taxes. Add state and local, and we can go over 50 cents easily.

Hmmm ... How about a ceiling on what they can tax per gal. in relationship to what the price is per barrel. If we pay under $2. per gal. They can't tax it more than 15 cents per $1.00. But the tax cannot bring the price at the pump over the next dollar increment.

This way here if the tax is 15 cents and we get the price down to under a dollar we would still be paying less at the pump plus than now and our government still gets their revenue for federal, state and local treasury to help fill the coffers again for public services etc.

The US should not be giving aid to countries we are bombing.

As long as they have nukes-we have no choice.

We always have a choice. Refusing to make a decision is a decision and I believe to continue to be non-decisive only makes things worse.
