Should the Catholic Bishops EXCOMMUNICATE all nuns who support abortion as HERETICS?

Abortion is definitely contrary to Catholic dogma. If someone rejects it, they have in effect rejected Catholicism. And, from a Catholic perspective, are HERETICS.

See:

If one chooses not to follow the tenets of a religion, that person cannot be a follower in good standing.

Taking it a step further, any nun or any other Catholic who votes for Obama should automatically be deemed a heretic. Here's why:

And any nun or Catholic that votes for a Republican should be deemed a heretic. And here is just one reason why....

True Catholics do not believe in war-mongering.

I don't believe in any of it, but the Catholic Bishops have the right to run their organization any way they please.

The RCC will have to do a lot more to restore their credibility. But this would be a start.

Things have changed a lot since Pope Paul VI, in his encyclical Humanae Vitae, laid it on the line about when human life begins.

They dedicated their life to the church, and they betrayed it. As a traitor convicted of treason is ejected from his country, a nun who betrays her doctrine should be ejected from her establishment.

Absolutely! How can they carry the banner of Catholicism, without upholding the tenets of the Church? They should be removed.

The Bishops should defrock the nuns, Since the Pope won't excommunicate Pelosi or Biden and the Archbishop eulogized Teddy Kennedy and buried him in hallowed ground, it would be unfair to excommunicate the nuns.

I say yes with a "but". If the Catholic church will not excommunicate their pedophiles, child molestors and homo's, why should one think that they will excommunicate any one? It's like a catch 22. Lots of these Bishops live in glass houses themselves, so they can't be throwing any stones.

Not really. The rationale there is simply that they have committed a grave sin. That doesn't mean that those priests believe it's not a sin. The nuns who support killing kids in effect are saying it's not a sin.

Had to check yes as there was no "other" option. Excommunication is a very extreme measure in the Catholic Church and should be used with great reserve...that being said, I would not be opposing such for people, religious, political, or common laity who have warranted it by their words and especially their actions if such were grievous enough.

The Catholic church not long ago used to excommunicate anyone who got divorced. And in fact unofficially still view someone who gets a divorce as being automatically excommunicated.

But killing a baby before birth is a more serious matter to Catholics than getting a divorce. For you can always get back with your ex-spouse, as my own parents did. But you can't bring a dead kid back to life.

One cannot be Catholic and be FOR abortion. It goes not only against all teachings but the commandment : Thou shalt not kill. Catholics are not perfect by any means and its not easy being Catholic. They are judged the most harshly and that's okay. The only one we have to be right with is God.HE is our judge and jury.

YOU said that. "Maybe you CHRISTIANS should quit voting for republican baby murders". That sounds like you're saying Christians in general vote for republicans who kill babies, or that Christians in general are the ones who keep putting them in office. Quit turning up on me, all I did was make a simple request. Why are you assuming that I'm putting democrats in a box? Quit putting words in my mouth, because honey, I AM A DEMOCRAT.

The fact is they DIDN'T. Planned Parenthood derived its support from the left side of the political spectrum.

And the left side of the Supreme Court unconstitutionally saddled us with Roe v. Wade. Led by Stevens, who, despite being appointed by a Republican, was a leftwinger revered by commie-socialist "Progressives."

A true Liberal would never support abortion, let alone funding it with taxpayer dollars. Surely not JFK, a Catholic.
