    My friend works at a Chicago suburban school that is full of illegal Mexicans. The principle kisses their asses. Things are out of control. My dad almost died in WWII and I am glad he is gone now so he doesn't have to hear this crap.

    i'm baffled as to why this is an issue, schools shuldn't have dress codes period but religious indoctrenation shouldn't be allowed at public schools either i think people should be free to wear what they like no matter what day of the year.

    the aclu is now fighting for the rights of many new immigrants especially from the middle east that may be offended by old glory.

    No, some kid really got in trouble for wearing an American flag t-shirt on Cinco de Mayo. He either got sent home or suspended because the principal and school board too, I think, but I could be wrong, deemed it "inappropriate".

    it was in California- approx 5 male students- were asked by the Vice Principal who happens to be of Mexican decent- to turn their shirts inside out or go home as he thought wearing the American Flag T-shirts might be incentive to the Mexican Students on Cinco de Mayo. Personally I think all Students should organize pick a day the end of the month- and all wear red white and blue clothing to school

    People have died for what the flag Stands for ..some questions should never have to be asked , if that in itself does not tell you what this country is coming too then you probably think it should be banned also .

    Millions of our soldiers, sailors and airmen have given their lives for Old Glory. The flag should fly every where. The flag should be flown in the traditional way and given the respect it deserves.

    Why in the hell should we continue to bow to the illegals or those who refuse to realize that they are in the US and their allegiance should be to the US. NOT the country they left. This infuriates me to no end. The ones that should be punished are NOT the kids wearing the flag shirts but the ones who threatened and caused a fight over it.

    If this poll is for real, it is very poorly done (and answered). It appears to me it is meant to make people choose between Our Flag and the safety of their children. Apparently it didn't occur to many that it is because of Old Glory that their children are, or should be, safe.
    Our flag deserves to be flown not only here "at home", but anywhere our service men/women are serving.
    What the hell is wrong with people?
    I can honestly say that it had never occured to me that this question would ever be asked.

    Parents, its YOUR job to teach your kids basic values such as right and wrong and patriotism. If you leave it to the schools, they're going to be taught some politically correct bullshit to satisfy whatever wheel is squeaking the loudest at the moment. And then, when your kids come out of college, you're going to wonder where they got the attitude that America is the cause of all the worlds problems or that higher taxes and more government is the answer to all our problems!
