Should Teacher Be Fired Over Alleged Porn Video?

A Southern California junior high teacher at Haydock Intermediate School is on administrative leave this week as the school's district investigates claims that she has been working as a porn star, either before or while being under the school's employment. Very few details have been released, but apparently the school is asking students not to search for the videos... because that's obviously going to discourage them from doing exactly that.

Haydock superintendent Jeff Chancer wrote in a letter to parents, "It has been alleged that one of our teachers is depicted in at least one pornographic video and possibly others on the Internet ... We are asking teachers to discourage the children from searching for and/or visiting these inappropriate sites." According to The Associated Press, when Chancer was asked if telling the kids about it might be, um, counter-productive, he responded, "I don't know."

For his part, Chancer is convinced the woman in the video is, in fact, the teacher they placed on leave. He explained, "A school site administrator saw the video and said he believes the teacher is in the video. I saw parts of the video. It's hardcore pornography ... We're trying to determine if there's a nexus on what she does on her own time and what she does in the classroom."
