I’m speechless, but in the spirit of “Hope and Change” I’m willing to be patient and give them the benefit of the doubt…
Just in case you’d like to drop a note to your Congressmen
First Lady Requires More Than Twenty-two (22) Attendants
Recession, Depression, What, Michelle Worry?
July 7, 2009
Dr. Paul L. Williams
“In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much,” she said.
“See, that’s why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service, “ Michelle Obama
No, Michele Obama does not get paid to serve as the First Lady and she doesn’t perform any official duties. But this hasn’t deterred her from hiring an unprecedented number of staffers to cater to her every whim
and to satisfy her every request in the midst of the Great Recession. Just think Mary Lincoln was taken to task for purchasing china for the White House during the Civil War. And Mamie Eisenhower had to shell out the salary for her personal secretary.
How things have changed! If you’re one of the tens of millions of Americans facing certain destitution, earning less than subsistence wages stocking the shelves at Wal-Mart or serving up McDonald cheeseburgers, prepare to scream and then come to realize that the benefit package for these servants of Miz Michelle are the same as members of the national security and defense departments and the bill for these assorted lackeys is paid by John Q. Public:
This list does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and
"First Hairstylist" Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom travelled aboard Air Force One to Europe.

There has never been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life. One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.

kathleen 2009/08/02 02:08:21NO! One attendant should be ample during a Recession.+4Michelle's chip is bigger than Barack's. She's been insecure for many years....just trying to "coddle" herself in comfort to help her get over all the things she's "hated about her Country" for so many years. Unfortunately, we have to pay for her "feel good" tactics and staff.

We are, after all, the wealthiest nation in the history of the world, and have a reputation to uphold.
Safety, they have the finest in the World.
When compared to past First Ladies, Michelle Obama is so far out of the norm it’s actually stunning. Hillary Clinton = 3 assistants Laura Bush = 1 assistant Jackie Kennedy = 1 assistant
Michelle Obama = (new total)26 assistants
''wealthiest nation in the history of the world'' ARE YOU AWARE THAT WE OWE THE REST OF THE WORLD 13 TRILLION DOLLARS?
Obama 2009 budget deficit=A RECORD 1.42 TRILLION
Obama 2010 budget deficit= A RECORD 1.56 TRILLION
Every Obama budget will be a trillion dollars in the red for the next 4/8 years. Add that to the $13,061,134,955,906.00 we owe now!!!! PLUS INTEREST!
And people were pissed at Bush's $267 Billion Deficit as was I.
Please watch this video.........
In other words, I didn't say that they are royalty. I said that it is the closest thing that we have to royalty.
''Safety, they have the finest in the World'' referring to the secret service and the extraordinary effort they go to, to keep our president and family safe. You know, like sending a huge transport plane full of armored vehicles for the pres and his entourage, ahead of any visit by the pres or his family. AT HUGE COST TO TAX PAYERS AND ØBAMA HAS TRAVELED MORE THAN ANY PRESIDENT IN HISTORY. Usefull things like a failed attempt to secure the Olympics for Chicago (which they didn't).
Oh and my favorite, to go fetch his Nobel Prized for what he's expected to do.
Your quote "We are, after all, the wealthiest nation in the history of the world, and have a reputation to uphold.''
"You can take the gorilla out of the jungle, but you can't get the jungle out of the gorilla."
when are they going to stop rely on others to do what they need to do for themself?
lazy in chi ,,, lazy ass in DC,
only diff , is she has a lot more of her kind in DC.
Is this Michelle's idea of sacrifice........... Quitting a job at a big law firm for a career in public service?
Hell, she has more staff people than we have police officers in my town, and that is a FACT!
But can someone please tell me why ANYONE would need to have 22 attendants.
Just more of the same from this current administration. Useless spending of tax payer dollars.
