Should Supreme Court rule allowing same-sex marriage?

Without a doubt.

Should they? Of course. Will they? haha no.

The state(s) should make the decision on whether of make them legally recognized or not.

Why not? Cause of the "sanctity of marriage?" After all the sanctity of Britney Spear's One day marriage must be preserved!

Government has shown no compelling reason to be involved in the issue. I don't need government to tell me who I can marry. I can make that decision by myself.

Who give a rats tail if your the same gender? Didn't all those disney movies tell us that true love is most important, no matter what?

I still don't understand why there is even any question about it.

I wouldn't want them too, but if they do/did I have nothing to do it about it. But I will still be against it!

What I am saying is the courts need to review and say that the laws violate the civil liberties of the group they banned marriage on. The voters again have been ignorant of this fact the whole time using the religious angle and not the constitutional laws that we are governed by.

Just imagine we all voted that we are banning traditional marriages and how fast they get this to the courts to overturn it. When you violate a group or person of their civil liberties and rights you have broken a law in the Constitution.

Plain and simple yet the religion seems to get in the way of this. Come up with a new term and law that makes their union legal and called it something else with all the rights afforded to them the same as a traditional marriage and I will vote yes.

It has nothing to do with procreation, religious, or god's laws. It has to do with man's laws and the ones WE created to protect our rights as afforded in the bill and constitution.

That sucks.

It would put a strain on finances later on that would bankrupt the country ,think about it

if anything it would help the Economy more weddings = more money for flowers and Suits/ Dresses and wedding supplies weddings are big money

What about when retirement comes along ,i still say it would break the Country financially look at the bigger picture .

then you have a Gay Couple working and paying taxes and saving for retirement

I'm in favor of Same Person marrages. That way I could marry myself and still have dependents for taxes and get extra benifits.

Just because men want to have a relationships with each other does not mean they should be banned from marrige.

but it is better if they rule to get marriage as just a religious thing and make it were you need a civil union(for consenting adults) to be recognized by the government for benefits and tax help

The equal protection of the laws is guaranteed in our Constitution.

The government has no business saying who you or I can marry based on the anatomy in our pants.

And for any who think gay marriage "threatens the institution of marriage," what are you doing to try to get the law changed so that divorce is illegal? Divorce is the threat to marriage, not more marriages between people who love each other!

If a man and a woman who hate each other can get married then two people of the same sex who love each other should be able to get married.
