Humor us here. Republican Senator and Tea Party favorite Jim DeMint from South Carolina unexpectedly announced that he's retiring from Senate. And Stephen Colbert fans want the empty seat filled with the political satirist, who's originally from South Carolina.
In fact, fans of Stephen Colbert have launched a campaign that's recently gone viral in order to convince South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to select the "Colbert Report" comedian as DeMint’s successor. (Since DeMint is leaving so suddenly, Governor Haley has the responsibility of picking his replacement.) So, what do you think? Should Stephen Colbert be a senator?

This is just Al doing what he has always done, try and make people laugh.
