Should someone's wrong opinion trump the Constitution just because they were appointed to the Supreme Court by a guy with a fake birth certificate?

YES [explain why you think so].

Roberts, the deciding vote, was appointed by Bush. Unless you were implying that George W. Bush was actually born in Mexico rather than the United States.

I can say I dislike this Law. But I also can say I respect the opinions of the Court empowered by the Constitution itself, the Judiciary Act of 1787 and Marbury v. Madison (1803). Justice Roberts nailed it when he said it wasn't his job to protect the people from their own bad laws made by their Representatives. A bad law can be legal. It's up to the people to make sure bad laws don't get passed.

This same sort of thing, and far worse, has been conveniently going on for a couple centuries now. Only lawyers can divine the truth from plain enough language.

Because they are not Constitutionally in that position. They got there via a scam, via dishonesty. I totally agree with the article's stance that the idea of the "living" Constitution has any validity - were it indeed "living and evolving" it would be a worthless sheet of paper, just like this crowd in DC now want it to be.

A great article with which I totally agree in all aspects.

    A superb post!
