Should SodaHead Allow People To Threaten The Life Of The President or Anyone For That Matter ?

Lately there seems to be a rash of disturbed and imbalanced people threatening the life of the President of the United States and other SH Members. Should SH be allowing this type of dangerous behavior ?

Threatening the President of the United States is a class D felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States".

The United States Attorneys' Manual states that the Terrorism and Violent Crime Section has supervisory authority over Section 871 cases.

Thanx Che cuz all the flags that were put up on the post I believe you are talking about were taken down. I even told Fef about it & the post still stands. Allowing these threats to stand because this is a Conservative website simply paints their side of the aisle as crazy people who are bent on doing violence to get their way.

He's on here regularly whenever you see a topic, thread or poll about illegals you will see him there calling for their death, well only the Mexicans. I don't know if its against the rules but I used to give him grief until he blocked me and now I just give grief to his cohorts who encourage him.

I've never come across a death threat here and I can't imagine SH letting one on, I have read posts and comments full of disgust with Obama, where he can shove things, and advice on how he can pull his head out and all of it well deserved.

I saw one myself today suggesting that the President be taken out and hung. I forwarded it to the Secret Service. Death threats against President Obama take place WAY too often on SH. Hence this post.

Good for you, no one should make threats on his life, that's completely wrong. There's always a few nuts out there unfortunately. I don't like Obama but I'd never want anything to happen to him or his family.

The only time I have even seen a death threat posted against President Bush was by Conservatives posting pictures found on the internet and allegedly posted by Liberals.

its not up to sodahead to ALLOW people to make death threats against the president; that is a felony that was created before sodahead got it's license to perate. if a sodaheader wants to make death threats against the president, they do so at their own culpability and the S/S and FBI DOES check. Yeah, I know I went against the grain on this one but only because I'd like to reserve the right to see just how many SECONDS it would take for SH to take down my question and de-activate me if I asked a dumb question about offing the "Mexican Mormon". I say seconds because this site, becoming an increasingly RADICAL right wing site, seems to have no issues with questions of this nature staying up for days or even weeks when it concerns Obama!

why should we, he approves killing americans if they are "possible threats" and the list of words dhs issued were broad, i dont support his assassination, i support his court martial and being tried for treason, and being a traitor, the punishment for being a traitor is execution, and i believe if they dont just arrest him that would be fit for him, its called legal execution, not death threats. I support any possibility of his being legally executed, this way the tax payers dont have to waste the money it costs to keep him at gitmo. unless he changes his mind about the killing of innocent people, i will not change mine on the idea of his tried for traitor, anbd court martialed

Anyone who threatens the life of anyone should have their account permanently de-activated by Soda Head.

If it is the President that is threatened SH MUST report that person to the Secret Service immediately, or they would be held to be just as guilty by the justice system.
