Should SodaHead Allow People To Threaten The Life Of The President or Anyone For That Matter ?

Lately there seems to be a rash of disturbed and imbalanced people threatening the life of the President of the United States and other SH Members. Should SH be allowing this type of dangerous behavior ?

Threatening the President of the United States
is a class D felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States".

The United States Attorneys' Manual states that the Terrorism and Violent Crime Section has supervisory authority over Section 871 cases.

Thanx Che cuz all the flags that were put up on the post I believe you are talking about were taken down. I even told Fef about it & the post still stands. Allowing these threats to stand because this is a Conservative website simply paints their side of the aisle as crazy people who are bent on doing violence to get their way.

then you haven't looked. I get it all the time.. not always death threats, although I do get those every now and again, but I get more bile and hatred than you can ever understand. But over the years I've gotten use to it. Now I just try to protect my kids from the hate as much as I can.

Maybe your definition of hate is too broad? I know a lot of people view disagreement as hate or not condoning something as hate.

no... disagreement is fine.. being called a terrorist is not. Being called a child abuser for raising Atheist children.. not really acceptable.

And I'm pretty sure that being told that you are going to burn for all eternity and that someone is Happy about that because I'll deserve it.. yeah, that is a bit more than disagreement.

So, you are called names, etc., just because of your beliefs - of is it because you think that because you don't hold a certain belief that other's shouldn't either and you have been vocal about that?

I'm fine with people having whatever religion they want.. I just don't want it forced down my throat. Keep your churches and sunday schools and Temple and prayer and all that but don't force it on my family.

Most of my family is Christian of one kind or another and I was raised Methodist but it just wasn't a good fit for me. It didn't ring true...

I am one of the folks who will point out that we have no idea when Jesus was born and that Christmas was placed when it was to try to convert the Pagans during one of their holidays.. but only when I get a few too many of the "Jesus is the Reason for the Season" posts on my facebook wall or too many of the "thus and such store said Happy Holidays to me.. how dare they.. don't they know it's Christmas" Like it's the only holiday that anyone is allowed to celebrate in December.

But For the most part.. don't involve me and I don't give two shakes about anyone's faith practice.

Some folks really do seem to need the whole Jesus and God thing to keep them going.. I'm just not one of them.

But there's really nothing one can do when the owner of this site advocates it on a regular basis.
Mostly, all one can do is go to Facebook. That's what I've been doing.

no and if someone raved it for points, that should not be perceived as a intention to harm the president either....that happened here recently, someone raved a question about harming the president for points....then after reading the question, the person did not vote or add a comment....then it was perceived that the person agreed with the question but the person just raved it and the rave was perceived as a yes...the bottom line is read before you even rave

everytime i make a comment about his public justice, i say it in accordance with committing crimes against humanity, and i dont care if obama is human, he is the one that said he was going to fake his own assassination attempt. he thinks it is necessary to kill innocent people that mite have policy opposition or indefinitely detain them for their opinions, so why should the people that this country belongs to be able to say the same about obama if he orders the murder of innocent people.

I don't understand SH members who use Avatar icons of guys shoving their heads up other guys butts. I think they are dangerous people and should be put on government watch lists.
