Why stop there? Most eighteen year olds don't know who the vice president is!
Stupid!
Should Senior Citizens (65 +) have to take a mental competency test before they vote?

I have seen some stupid driving by younger people. Most senior citizens are
more cautious and some even attend Drivers Ed update classes.
Could be a good idea to do that with politicians anyway.
since when did voting become a privilege, anyway? it is not only a right but a duty.
I see you're 65, yourself. what? you want a free ride? let everyone ELSE decide what your country will be? seriously?
I'm 65 and a total senile old fool. D
declaring that such unthinking persons will vote for "anyone or anything other than Obama", or words to that effect. Such proud ignorance is, of course, a great weakness of our Republic, allowing depots and influences such as the "corporation persons" and Reagan Banks to control our Congress and our lives. Conversely, of course, there are blocks of other voters who will vote for other reasons unrelated to matters of importance.
Other than the "over 65 years" population, I greatly fear the young voters who have so little knowledge of much of anything they can't identify half the states of the Union, haven't a clue where "Central America" is, and have so little knowledge of our heritage and history as to not recognize the names of more than six or eight former Presidents, etc., etc. How they turn them out from the school systems is a mystery beyond explanation.
I would support any program that is fairly and uniformly admin...

I would support any program that is fairly and uniformly administered that requires basic knowledge and understanding of our society and it's Government. There are several provisions of the U.S. Constitution in need of revision to better effect the working of our Republic. This is just one such matter that should be given serious attention by minds not
chained to ideologies and glories of past Centuries.
