wouldnt have to if you all just didnt want to give in to paying as much to the saudis for gas. they would either lower prices or make no money

Of course, as demand goes down, so do prices, but what you are suggesting is purely wishful thinking. People are NOT going to stop buying gas as the are not going to start walking to work. Social reaction is part of the equation.

but the refusal to pay the price if we get together and just let the middle easterners know that we will just use our own oil instead of theirs unless they lower prices they will have to budge
