He has too much momentum to drop out. He's the only hope this country has to restore it to the way it should be.

Dr. Paul may not win many states. But, that's not the point. This campaign is not so much about winning the White House as it is about spreading the message of Liberty. And, he's doing a hell of a job of that.

Why should the only person made from the same cloth as our founders quit in his quest to restore this former (r)epublic?.

It's his choice. Obama would love him to go away! In a recent Rassmusen poll, if Ron Paul runs on a third party ticket, Romney would get %44, Obama %38, and Paul %13.

If RP is on the ballot, I will vote for him. I don't care if he's running Libertarian, Independent or other.

During the course of his political career, Romney has been all over the ideological board, positioning himself not on the basis of real core values, but in an effort to appeal to whatever constituencies might secure the nomination and/or election. I don't always agree with Ron Paul, but one has to agree that he has been steadfast and unwavering. Voters deserve an alternative to Mr. Etch-a Sketch, even if it's "in the bag" for him.

In the lame duck session following the November elections, the Democrats and the United Nations have some surprises in store. The U.N. will take away more of our sovereignty than Hillary has already given them; you better google that UN Agenda 21; Ron Paul wants us OUT of the U.N.; H-E-L-L-O !!!

why? In america, you have a right to run for president as long as you are not a convicted felon, are a natural born citizen, don't have a stolen SS#, actually registered for the draft (oh crap, our current president doesn't qualify)

What puzzles me is; if this guy wants BHO to win, why doesn't he just say so. He knows full well that he doesn't stand a snowballs chance. All he is doing is siphoning off conservative votes necessary to defeat BHO?
Which begs the question: What exactly IS his motive? Ego? Perhaps.

Paul = Perot (think about it; that’s how we got Clinton)

I made the same Perot equasion on another post a couple days ago and they jumped me it is true though. I'm also wondering why he's running Republican when all his followers vow not to vote Republican if he's not the candidate. Sounds independent to me.

We don't need the GOP or the Dems. They are both irrelevant and a useless relic. We need one party. The American Party.

Yours is the most ignorant comment here, If GOP or Dems didn't vote for him he wouldn't even be in the running and definitely can't win. . Everybody needs to vote best for America and it's not Obama.

So your informed opinion is that our two party system of corruption and back room deals that spends their time fighting each other instead of doing what is right for America, is good?

Who did you say is ignorant?
  • Kat Wally-M... 2012/05/09 21:51:56
    Kat
The two party system sucks, split 3 ways is a win for the incumbent. They're all dirty and need replaced, unfortunately most that want to replace them are dirty too.
Ron Paul is a politician too has been for quite a while, Been in since 1971 that would seem to indicate he's part of the problem as well, even though he does seem better than most.
There is entirely too much negativity being fueled between all the parties and the politicians really appreciate it, it keeps them in office, if we're ripping each other apart we're leaving them alone to do whatever they want.
Have a good day, hopefully we'll agree to disagree like civilized people.

Are you high or just really really stupid??? The GOP has not made an official nomination yet. He is only in the running for the position of republican candidate right now. He has already said he will not run as an independent. So how the hell do you get that he is siphoning off conservative votes? That is in no way what is happening.

Seriously kiddo, which is it, high or stupid?

    You're lost.

Ron Paul has won the majority of delegates in 11 states (do a Google news search for - Ron Paul wins). Ron Paul routinely polls better against BO than Mittens does. Nobody likes Mittens at all.

If you wants BO out of the WH, Ron Paul is the man to do it, not Mr. Plastic.

In 2008, Mitt Romney lost to the man who lost to Obama. Think about it.

Give the man a chance! Mittens is not the pick yet, outside Obama's MSM! Mittens is just Obama white. We need change! Change back to where America was 200 years ago! Mittens wont give US that change. Popa George started US down the New World Order road to Hell, Slick Willie picked up the pace, Shrub didn't stop the journey, and this Communist Muslim usurper has his comrads pushing the bus faster and faster! We need to slam on the brakes! Dr. Paul has his foot on the pedal! Give him a chance!

If Paul is not on the ballot, I don't vote for a presidential candidate. Our country is in this mess partly because we ignore the best candidates and vote for some middling candidate because we figure that's the only way to keep the worst candidate out of office.

I haven't voted a blocking action for years. And for those who wish to try voting for the best, this may be the perfect election to try it. Because I don't think there is a whit's difference between the effects of electing Obama and the effects of electing Romney - we're down the tubes either way!

But, you are making my point; if you do not vote for someone it is a vote for the opponent.

While your math needs some remedial work, I'll let it pass in order to clarify my position. I don't believe it makes a rat's a$$ difference whether the next term has Obama occupying the seat or Romney occupying the seat. The only difference I see between those two candidates is the route they might take to our destruction. Why would I vote for either of them?

Let's say Paul drops out and even endorses ORomney. And all of the Paul supporters get on the Anyone But Obama Hope and Change dream team. Tell us exactly what ORomney will do to change anything? No generalities. No ABOs. No better evils. No propaganda links. Just tell us exactly what and how ORomney will stop the demise of America?

Absolutely not. He's accumulating a large number of delegates even though the media loves to make it look like he's got less than 100. But truth (or lack thereof) in the mainstream media is a topic for another thread.

Romney has not sealed the nomination yet, and the fact he needs to consider is that he CANNOT beat Obama because most Ron Paul supporters (which he needs to win in November) won't vote for him.

Whether or not he has the chance to win, Paul serves a purpose by bringing his economic ideas to the table. He has made a good enough showing to earn the chance to be heard.

Just because he hasn't won any straw polls doesn't mean the vote is not easily rigged, as has been proven to be the case election after election. At the end of the day he has won several states where he has gained a majority of the delegates.
