Christine O’Donnell, three-time loser for a U.S. Senate seat from Delaware has shocked the world by announcing that she is not giving up the political limelight and is in fact starting ChristinePAC, her own political action committee.
Should we Republicans be hauling out our baby sealskin checkbooks and sending her donations? Hell no.
The last thing Republicans need is O’Donnell running for office again.
I’m not saying that because she dabbled in witchcraft. I myself once took a Tae-Bo class. We all get swept up in crazy cults once in awhile.
And it’s not because she once “fooled around” on a blood-stained Satanic altar, but she doesn’t want kids educated about safe sex. That’s so ironic because “don’t have sex on bloody Satanic altars” seems like an excellent safe-sex tip on several levels.
And I can’t fault her for not knowing that the separation of church and state comes from the First Amendment. At least she knew there was a First Amendment.
The reason I don’t want O’Donnell running for office is that I don’t want to deliver any more congressional seats to the Democrats.
O’Donnell faced nine-term Delaware U.S. House Rep. Mike Castle in the Republican Senate primary last year. Castle, the early favorite, had a significant lead in the polls over Democratic opponent, Chris Coons, a relative unknown.
In a Castle vs. Coons general election, the Republicans were very likely to pick up Joe Biden’s vacated Senate seat. But then O’Donnell convinced the Tea Party that Castle was too liberal, despite the fact that he voted with his fellow Republicans 87 percent of the time and they helped her win the primary. She then turned around and lost to Coons by 17 points in the general election.
Clearly she now has her sights set on Castle’s House seat. Her fundraising letter reads in part:
“A strong ChristinePAC will enable me to counter the liberal-controlled GOP establishment in upcoming Congressional Primaries.”
Liberal-controlled GOP establishment? Someone tell those Commies, Mitch McConnell and Eric Cantor, to watch their backs.
The reality is that O’Donnell is an opportunist who doesn’t care if she hurts the Republican Party as long as she gets her own way. So do me a favor, my fellow Republicans, put the checkbooks down and let’s hope O’Donnell melts away.

In Mr. Thomas' case the land of cloaked spin...pathetic
Mr. Thomas you are not a Conservative nor a Republican by any imagination and you really suck as a commentator.... Rein in the ego... It's sodahead not the LSM... Not much of a feather for the cap....lmao
How many times did Joe Biden run for President?????
She doesn't need the "GOP machine"
She's better off on her own.. depending on individual citizen's support.
Her judgement is questionable. Who would start a campaign message with "I'm not a witch"? She dosen't want safe sex taught, but I'm still out on that one depending on the age of the students. He experience is not strong in governance or business.
She obviously had a lot of support and was convincing and that can be best used in other arenas such as a ward leader or GOTV coordinator.
I'm not very comfortable with her handling of finances as well.
I've said the same thing about the black man...For fifty yrs. what of the plight of the black man...They still suffer from living by the promises of the Dem Party...and now the Mexican Indians(not the Spaniards) will suffer from the same lies that have been told on behalf of the black man...Oh and "anti-elitist morons that are rich elitists"...Sounds like the Democratic party to me...The Liberal Dem that is..
2) I agree with you. Blacks and Mexicans need to stop being treated like second class citizens in America by both parties.
3) Listening to Palin, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity...etc. Is like listening to someone eating a BLT telling you not to eat pork.
4) You have a large portion of America who feel disenfranchised. They have been neglected, and not just by Obama, for the past 10-12 years. Finally, with a black democrat president the perfect storm has been created and it's starting to boil over in the form of the 'tea party.'
5) This 'tea party' is so, in my opinion, blinded by anger that fools who have little to no credentials like Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and Christine O'Donnell are rising to power because they say whatever the people want to hear, and not necessarily what is logical. They're irrational megalomaniacs. They're not intelligent, it's obvious.
6) Please don't give me this 'you don't need to go to college to be intelligent' nonsense. That's a preposterous argument. For example, the founding father's were all scholars in one way or another and certainly NOT anti-intellectual. Make the Bill Gates argument, fine. Lots of people can do many different things at any point, but that doesn't discredit the importance of being learned.
I feel a tingle running down my leg-
O wait- that's where I pee'd myself from laughing so hard.
Never mind :)
But, if they do join her pact, that will just make it that much easier for Democrats to win any seat that she runs for.
get them appointed to Sister Christine's PAC? They would probably work on the cheap, maybe
for just some bat wings and cat's eyes now and then, plus a few bucks for meals.
