The Presidency of Barack Obama has hit a tipping point. All of his polling against Republican Mitt Romney has been falling steadily. All swing state polls show Romney gaining or overtaking Obama and it looks like the trend will just get worse for the incumbent.

The latest jobs report was so pathetic that even Obama shill Maureen Dowd is about to throw him under the bus.

Every negative campaign attack from the former "hope and change" candidate has fallen flat. First it was the phony "War on women"... That failed and Romney leads Obama amongst Women. Next, they went after Romney's days at Bain Capital. With Obama surrogates and supporters exposing this straw man argument, people have come to see that Bain had an 80% success rate when trying to save companies... Juxtaposed with Obama's HUGE failures like Solyndra (crony capitalism to boot) and other Billion dollar taxpayer loses, With these revelations, Romney is widening the gap on the question on "who is better to handle the economy." Now the Obama camp has put out a deceptive ad about job creation when Romney was Governor of Massachusetts. What the ad doesn't say is that Romney got unemployment down to 4.7%. So the backlash will be that everyone will be talking about Obama's 40 straight months of unemployment OVER 8% compared to Romney's 4.7% as Governor.

It seems that everything the Obama camp tries, backfires. This can be attributed to one thing: Obama NOW has a record to run on.

In 2008, Obama was a blank slate and every preposterous promise he made, the media let slide.

Now, in 2012, Obama can't run away from his disastrous record as President over the past 3 and 1/2 years. Sending tax payer money to donors like Solyndra's George Kaiser has been exposed. The Administrations murderous attempts at pushing a gun control message has gotten 2 US agents killed and HUNDREDS of Mexicans murdered in the operation "Fast & Furious." Obamacare which will be struck down as unconstitutional will just remind people that Obama wasted so much time trying not to "let a crisis go to waste" when he was supposed to be focusing on jobs.

And the frosting on top of this turd cake we call the Obama Presidency is the failed stimulus. Obama wasted 1 Trillion Dollars of hard earned tax payer money to send pork to his supporters all the while, the head of his economic team, told us we had to pass the bill to keep unemployment BELOW 8%.

We exploded our debt to curtail unemployment and got FORTY STRAIGHT MONTHS of unemployment ABOVE 8%.

With such an unmitigated disaster over the past 42 months, should Obama resign to save face as well as save the once proud Democratic party he will for sure take down with him as he loses a landslide in November?

If he wanted to be a patriot, save the country money, and be a real man for a change and stop blaming everything and everyone else for his failures he should resign.

Not really undecided, just want him to finish out his miserable, worthless term, and have his "ass kicked" in the election. Just to point out to the arrogant worthless piece of crap that Americans aren't really as dumb as all that, and by all that I mean the idiots that fell for his hope and change mantra in 2008

Great post... reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw:

"If you voted for Obama in '08 to prove you aren't a racist...

You have to vote for Romney in '12 to prove your not an idiot."

I would like to say yes but we need to vote him out of office. Better. Vote the stuck-up smooth talking wealthy liberal progressive elitist in a huge blow-out. HUGE BLOW-OUT. He needs to live with the knowledge he is being thrown out of office and we do not want him back.

If Obama resigns before the November election, it would create a potential problem for Romney.
If I was a supporter of the Democrat Party, I would recommend a replacement of the Democratic candidate for 2012 election as early as by the end of 2010.
Fortunately though, the Democrats are incapable of making critical decisions like this one.

    You're right.

Who would want a recovery like Reagan's where he had the GDP at 8% and at this time in his Presidency, the economy was creating over 500,000 jobs a month... WHO NEEDS THAT when you got Barack and unemployment @ 8.2%! OH JOY!

Barrack became president during one of the worst recessions in modern history.
America is leaving said recession much much faster then most other countries are.
You can choose to have blinders on (and only see one thing at a time) but I see the big picture here.
