I think it would be a smart political move that would give the president a bump in the polls and also set up Hillary for her run for the presidency should she decide to run come 2012. I also truly believe that both are more than qualified to hold either position and would do a fine job as such.
But with that being said I don't think it will happen, Joe Biden himself said that the president has already asked him to stay on as VP for the election and I thought that Hilary said it wasn't an option as well? That and it would be made to look by the conservative media that that the president was admitting that he made a mistake by picking Joe Biden in the first place.
I doubt she would want that job. Biden has always wanted to be Sec. of State, and Hillary has done a great job. Republicans even agree. But she has also said she rarely sees her daughter and family and does most of her eating and sleeping on her plane.
Hillary may want to back off and lay low until 2016. But if she runs then, she may also be up against Elizabeth Warren. 2016 will see high profile women in the mix.
Hillary's a psychopath huh? Not according to 66% of the public who have a favorable opinion of her compared to the 29% that have an un-favorable opinion towards her as noted by a recent Gallup poll. http://www.gallup.com/poll/15... Now Mitt Romney has a severe favorable un-favorable poll numbers problems, just a few weeks back it was written that no presidential candidate had such underwater poll numbers, in fact at this rate, Romney is shaping up to be the most unpopular presidential nominee on record. http://www.realclearpolitics....
Biden, as "court-jester", is VP for one main reason: All the incentive necessary not to remove Obama, since Biden is next in succession. If Obama switches to Clinton, that protection factor leaves in a huge way.
I do not believe she would want the job. She is tired and would like to retire from politics. The only people who want her in that position are desperate progressives and bitter right wingers
Isn't it ironic, or maybe not, that obama blasted both Clintons during the primary battle and now might not be able to win a 2nd term without them? I think it's hilarious. Hillary has her sights set on the Presidency and she would be taking a big chance running on the ticket with obama. If she does and he still loses, or even if he wins and things don't get better either way she'll be finished. She should stay out of it, wait til 2016 and not listen to Bill who wants to be first Dude so badly he'd kill for it.
She's had enough, and I can't say as I blame her. She wants to retire and she's been an excellent Secty of State. Shame she never got any further, but it seems this country was more ready for a black president than a female one.
