Should President Obama not run in 2012?

Moonage 2011/10/26 15:40:59
He should do what he said and not run.
Sticking to his word's never been important, he should run.

“I will be held accountable,” Obama said. “I’ve got four years and … A year form now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress, but there’s still going to be some pain out there … If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

There should be an answer. "Yes, He should run!" Or you should be able to comment without an answer...this question has awfully stated answers!!! Run OBAMA, I am still voting for you as I did the first time.

If the Idiot from Texas George W. Bush had 8 years to screw up our country, Obama should get 8 years to put things back on TRACK! Damn to the Republican House of REPRESENTATIVES!!!!!

He should be given the chance to justify himself on the job he's done. Then it will be up to us to keep in or vote him out

Barry has never stood by his words so why would he start now ? Four years is a long time and during this time things are getting progressively worse. It is time to say it is not working. Thanks for the hard work on the golf course Barry but we need a new direction. Thanks for the wonderfully designed fake birth certificate but you should of never been president in the first place !

Unfortunately it is hard to get rid of a rat...it will take some doing to rid ourselves of him, his czars, and his whole anti-american entourage.....

He hasn't do it in three years and won't be able to with only one year remaining. If he had any honor we wouldn't run.

This is another one of those dumb posts that don't have any choice in responses and don't consider the context in which the statement was made.

Obamas reference was to the fact that if he did not accomplish what he wanted he would not be ELECTED to a second term. It was not a statement that he would not run for re-election.

We were already in a mess BEFORE the elections. I didn't expect Pres. Obama to "fix" our problems in one term, let alone one year. Pres. Bush left a HUGE DEBT/MESS when he left office. And "IF" Pres. Obama really decides not to run again, I'm wondering if Hillary might want to try running again.

i am sorry this might be rude but I think that America needs a different president. We need some strong people running this country. Also Obama is my boss! he is the commander of the Army and I feel that if somebody is going to be the head of the military they need some idea or background of that! but this is just my opinion.

Politicos are that way. Here in Thailand, when they say they won't run, they run and when they run they all want the same offices. But anyway, he is much better than any one of them, so let him run. Just keep the GOP out of office f9r awhile!

I`m not sure that when he spoke about a "one-term proposition" he meant he would not run; rather, he may have meant he would not be reelected and he was accepting that possibility; but, of course, if he did not run, then who could or would?

Oh, he will run, not running would make the country happy, and he couldn't afford that to happen. If he still want's to make cuts, then he should start with taking 3,000 people on his trips and booking three floors at 5***** hotels, and leave the limo which can launch
nuclear warheads in our country. And there are people who still want to vote him in for another four more years of SPEND SPEND SPEND, this from the guy who wanted to make
changes for the better....Please name ONE thing that's better now than when he took office. Don't say the stock market it still sucks...it's not close to 15,000+ either.

If he does decide to run though I think some other Democrat should challenge him in the primaries. If the Democrats want to keep the White House maybe they should consider someone else.

What he said doesn't necessarily mean he won't run, he could just acknowledging the fact he may not succeed if he does.

Obama is a disappointment in many ways but I think he's dealing with the situation left him by the Bush administration. I'm not happy with some of the things he's done and some of the things he's not done and I'm in the UK so wtf?

Trouble is I get the impression you yanks are stuck between a rock and a hard place. We were the same last election and we've had the first hung government in my life time. I think it's a good thing because when one party has a majority they do what they like and damn anyone else; this way we have some protection from extremist actions.i

dont be fooled, the haters they are simply anti Black, (full disclosure I voted for the Green party)
the fact of the matter is that president Obama has done almost everything that Bush did.
In fact the republicans are saying that Obama owes bush an apology, because he is doing exactly what bush did!!!
Obama supports the capitalist system, just like the white guys. the Black haters here are not smart enough to understand that the ruling class no longer cares what your skin color is, as long as you will give them tax breaks, continue the imperial wars they benefit from. and keep the top1% owning 50% of the wealth.you can be in the club; it is no longer restricted to white skinned males.
unfortunately the average white person here still thinks there is something magic about white skin.

how can we conservatives be anti black when the majority of us support herman cain right now for our primary candidate. we dont support his liberal ways and his socialist agenda. color has nothing to do with why i dont support him and yes, while bush did some things i didnt like obama has done way worse. hes already spent way more in less than 3 years than bush did in 8. so how does that help the country? it doesnt. getting into more and more debt is stupid. makes no sense. if he wanted to t urn the economy around he should cut spending immediately and balance the budget. and be more business friendly so the economy can grow big govt. doesnt create jobs, the private sector does.
