Something? A comment to the family...a Nation feels your pain. Flags flown at half mast for Whitney! Not a great American Hero! Whadaya think?------

via TheBlaze.

It has been about 10 days since legendary Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle was tragically gunned down in Texas, and the president of the United States has yet to address his death.

President Barack Obama has not made a public statement regarding Kyle’s murder and his extraordinary service to his county, nor has the White House issued an official press release. Messages left by TheBlaze were not immediately returned by the White House.

Several Blaze readers have also suggested that the White House should have ordered flags be flown at half mast to honor Kyle. You may recall, Obama issued such orders to honor the late Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii, the victims of Sandy Hook, and in honor of Arlen Specter, Neil Armstrong and Army Cpl. Frank W. Buckles, as well as others.

While those proclamations were more than necessary, many would argue an American hero like Chris Kyle — the “American Sniper” — undoubtedly deserves the same respect.

However, the most glaring oversight is still the fact that President Obama hasn’t so much as offered a public statement paying his respects to Kyle and his family.

When singer Whitney Houston passed away from a drug overdose, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Obama’s “thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her daughter.” He also called her death a “tragedy.”

I would rather not hear his hollow words that have no feeling behind them. I'd much rather just hear bama has resigned because he's a sad excuse for a president.

After mentioning every other victim he could think of, yes, it was disgraceful not mentioning Chris Kyle. But, we must remember that Obama hates the Military and all it stands for. So it doesn't surprise me one bit that he would pull something like this.

There are more than 35 deaths each day from gunfire, and nearly 100 wounded. Now, should the President maybe have a morning radio show and mention each of these by
name, just to show what a "Patriot" he is? Chris Kyle was an ex-military trooper, killed
by gunfire from another ex-military man. What possible importance to the national agenda does this incident have? We could make an argument that this is evidence of the dangers of having semi auto military style weapons in the hands of the public, but that would only make more obvious what is so obvious already. Move on, we have funerals for two more police officers to attend this week, killed by another lunatic with semi auto military style weapons. Next week there will be even more of these incidents, and the week thereafter, and.......

Would that be the criteria by which a President should make a public announcement of mourning, the number of persons or enemies a man has killed? Or, more likely, you and a few others just think this yet another thing you can whine about and try to criticize the President? Of course, we understand, as whatever Barack Obama does there will be a small band of complainers to post some whines here on SH.

Kyle was an unknown fellow down in Texas doing what Texans do every day, shooting at a target and pretending it is an "enemy". Why would anyone have cared what he was up to until the moment of his "fame" by being killed by another person with a love for a gun greater than a love for life? Get over it, Kyle is another tragedy that happened with a gun. Last week it was an ex policeman from L.A. who died yesterday in Big Bear, today it was another ex-military guy who shot his wife to death in South Africa, tomorrow it will be yet another story. Your delusion about "Obama" indicate you are borderline, not an insult, but a fact. You are obsessed with guns and killing with them and somehow confuse these head voices with "Obama". Seek help before you harm yourself or some innocents.

The President and his wife have given greater positive support to U.S. forces and their families than any First Family in recent history. Michelle has been a forceful advocate for better services and help to the families of those on duty, and the President has done the ultimate service for the active duty members, removing them from harm's way before they are brought home in tin boxes to Dover and grieving families. You haven't any legs for your absurd rants, just more of the RWNJ allegations to entice the ignorant.

Rofl, thanks for the great joke. Fact, with his defense cuts that includes VA hospitals which thousands of returning military service men and women need but either won't be available for will have to wait in line for a minimal of 6 months like present veterans do. On top of that when they get out, there will be absolutely no jobs available for them so yeah great job his clown is doing. lol
  • A Found... Kurt 2013/02/18 21:19:34

The President is not an employment agent. Jobs are provided by the public sector. Funding for VA hospitals has been greatly INCREASED, not decreased, by the present Administration. The House of Reps is responsible for all spending bills and, of course, make cuts and adjust spending to most enlarge upon their constant political motives which focus on embarrassing the President in any way they can. Again, I have to tell you, you are simply repeating the nonsense you hear from Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, or propaganda from the
Saudi Royal Family network of Anti-American stories. Sorry, Kurt, you are out in right field with others who make up whines and cries without foundation.

Rofl, thanks for the joke. But as I can see you never served in any branch of the military I'll educate you in what he has done and is doing. In his 1st term he has his wife visit a VA hospital to act like she and her husband actually cared about the Veterans that made this country safe, a short time after the visit obama tried pushing a bill to cut funds by over 50% to all VA hospitals. Thankfully the House and Senate shot that asinine idea down. How you say he is great guy because he is sending troops home. Have to actually think which you should be able to because you posted you have a Graduate degree, he is only sending US troops home from the areas where his Muslim friends are at. On top of that he is cutting the Military funds across the board which means that when they do get back and need to go to a VA hospital, it might not be there or this is a fact, they will be put on a waiting list like the rest of the Veterans in front of them which is a minimal of 6 months if not longer. On top of all that when they get out there is no jobs waiting for them.

Loony rants. There is no "6 month wait" at VA hospitals. Those with injuries or needs are admitted to Walter Reed or other facilities where they are given immediate attention. Funding for VA hospitals and staffing are greatly increased, not decreased as you allege. As for the broad cuts, there is nothing in our economy so wasteful and poorly managed as the military-industrial complex procurement system that wastes hundreds of $Billions every year. They will get along fine with less, sharing somewhat with America's middle class citizens and workers whose wages are falling and making do with less than just a couple of decades ago. We are not engaging in any more "Republican prosperity" (wars and rumors of wars), so they can get by with less.

Kyle left the service in 2009. He was a private citizen of Texas. The duty falls on Rick Perry - who did issue a statement.

Kyle was killed by an Iraq War veteran. Who was saying to put an armed veteran in every school again?

PS: Every time you bring this up you show the need for more gun control. Great job.
