The New York Times reported that David Axelrod, Obama's campaign adviser, attends secret "Kill List" meetings:
The Weekly Standard criticized this access as political in nature:
David Axelrod, the president’s closest political adviser, began showing up at the “Terror Tuesday” meetings, his unspeaking presence a visible reminder of what everyone understood: a successful attack would overwhelm the president’s other aspirations and achievements.
The Weekly Standard criticized this access as political in nature:
David Axelrod spent two years in the White House in his role as a senior political adviser--"the president's closest political adviser." He is now a senior campaign adviser, working out of Chicago and spending his days trying to get President Obama reelected, so presumably he does not still attend these "Terror Tuesday" sessions, though the Times article is not clear about this.

reply - Civic Minded 2012/05/30 03:59:34No Attend+1Actually, it doesn't matter either way. What is going on here is politics which will backfire regardless. Apparently, Obama thinks getting Bin Laden was a great boost to his popularity, so he's hoping another "Kill" will help his campaign. That's the way this looks. It doesn't bode well for public opinion, imho.reply

He's made the top 10 Most Wanted Terrorists list look like Swiss cheese. He's done a much better job than Bush ever did. As long as his tactics continue to get the job done....who cares?reply
