Too bad Republicans have fought so hard for it for years.

It is too bad republicans wanted citizens united so badly. It allows for this type of undisclosed donor.

I donated $5 to JFK's campaign when I was a "teaching fellow" in a college of the Great State of Maine back in 1960. Maybe I will be arrested next time I set foot on the soil of the United States of America. i am truly scared.

Absolutely not! In fact, I believe it is AGAINST THE LAW. Until this election, even Permanent Residents (those who are not US Citizens, but those who are here legally and have that 'green card') could not donate to Presidential Campaigns. Permanent Residents still are not allowed to vote (as it should be) but they are allowed now to support a candidate financially.

Imagine if Nazi Germany could help elect their favorite president! How about Chavez, AhmaNutJob? Perhaps some of our favorite groups like Hezbollah and Al Qaeda?

NO, NO, NO. This is how Obama got elected and look at how bad that has been for us.

And, folks who are not American living in other countries, are not allowed to donate to either political party .

Americans, living in foreign countries, ARE allowed to donate (hence the drop down box indicating in which country you live) however, if you do donate from a foreign country your US citizenship must be confirmed (normally via your passport number) or else your donation will be denied/returned.

The records are open and easy to see, from both parties and both parties accept donations from American citizens, living overseas.

No Obama has not released any records except those donating more than the $250 FEC threshold and Obama has been proven to accept donations from PrePaid, unnamed Visa/Mastercard accounts. A person using the name Adolph Hitler from Germany was able to donate $20 with no proof of residency. That's just one but there are hundreds of documented items that amount to FRAUD.

One can make a donation, claiming to be anyone, from anywhere. Once the data is audited, and determined it has come from a source outside the US without proper documentation, then the person is contacted for proof of citizenship. If they cannot provide proof, or if they cannot be contacted within a predefined timeframe/number of attempts, the money is credited back to the account from which the money came (I have managed the teams that do this contact/verification/refund process, hence my awareness in this area).

Again, a very common practice in both parties.

Not at all. Just someone who has worked on several national campaigns (both R and D) and is familiar with the process and willing to share the facts. Mind you, I'm merely pointing out how the process works, I'm hardly advocating for Obama. If you choose to ignore the facts, because you've got a partisan axe to grind, that's certainly your right. Posting quaint pictures is always worth a chuckle, if nothing else.

That was meant to tell you if you believe Obama has returned any money to someone who fails to prove their citizenship, I have a bridge to sell you.

Again, I've worked on several campaigns and have associates who presently work on the Obama campaign. This may surprise you (but just like my friends further right then I) they are not the spawn of the devil. I know, unequivocally, that they have returned donations. At the risk of being redundant, it happens ALL the time, it really isn't a big deal. I'm assuming your actual knowledge of any national campaign is zero (let alone the Obama campaign) or have you worked on a Presidential campaign (I've worked for two, one R and one D)?

Once again, if you would rather state the facts based on your belief (Obama is evil so therefore he must misappropriate all funds) versus understanding the facts, more power to you.

As Mark Twain said, feel free to "Never let the facts stand in the way of a good story".

Sure ok I still think the best analogy is the bridge.
If you have friends further right than you working for Barack Hussein Obama, it pretty much says everything. Who are you dating Sean Penn?

Obviously my communication was unclear to you.

I have friends, further to the left then I, who presently work on the Obama campaign. I have friends, further to my right, several of which worked on the McCain campaign in the past. They are all intelligent, passionate, driven people who are willing to fully commit themselves to causes they believe in, yet still have respectful (if vocal) disagreements with those of differing views.

Neither "side" would reduce themselves to statements such as, I bet you're "dating Sean Penn" (or Sarah Palin)...but there it is.

My husband is presently in Afghanistan serving our country. If you disagree with my fact based viewpoint, so be it. Feel free to criticize me, name call me, disparage my character, my politics, whatever, to your hearts content. I'm a big girl and am long past the stage where second grade name calling has any impact on me (other than "really?")

However, I'd suggest you focus your feeble insults on me, and me alone, when you impugn the character of my soldier husband, even obliquely, you drop yourself to a new low.

Oh I'll let you know about your soldier husband when you acknowledge my hero son. Thanks for your service, but it doesn't change the facts. The fact is Obama is guilty of FRAUD. And the sooner you admit that the better. Maybe you could be clearer the first time instead of editing your mumbled comments.

If you accept money from foreign nations then you should be disqualified from running. Period! do you hear that O'Commie & Romney!!!

All involved and the candidate should face 25 years in prison and seziure of all assets. It will be a lesson. We need to pass strictor laws governing donations. We should also inforce that when a campain tries infiltrate another by trying to hide have money from a foreign nation that they get life for all involved and possibly the opposing candidate.

I'm going just a little off subject but, wasn't the MSM saying last year that obamas campaign would or could raise as much as a billion dollars (thats "billion with a B) for his reelection campaign? but a few weeks ago I heard that the campaigns were nearly neck and neck in contributions in some cases Romney was slightly ahead and I heard obama whining and crying that Romney could buy the election... what happened to that Billion dollars? and who's buying what?... I just recently saw where obama is outspending Romney in the swing states two to one.
