Harry Reid, the Democratic Senate Majority Leader, has made it very clear that he has a "reputable source" telling him that Mitt Romney has not paid taxes for a time period of about ten years -- and that he wants the Republican presidential candidate to prove with tax returns that he has. Do you think all this tax-return talk is integral to the election -- or is it just a distraction?

NYDAILYNEWS.COM reports:
Mitt Romney strongly denied Sen. Harry Reid's repeated, insistent claims that he did not pay taxes for a decade during a press conference in the Senate Majority Leader's home state of Nevada on Friday. "I have paid taxes every year, and a lot of taxes, so Harry is wrong," Romney said.

Distraction from the abominable state of this economy. If this were try, the IRS would be all over him like White on Mitt. They would love to spend the rest of the campaign releasing a new tidbit of information every other day from his taxes he would have to defend until election day. New bombshells that turn out to be nothing.

Releasing his records will not gain him votes, it will simply give liberals fodder for their smear campaign. Any improprieties are being looked at by Obie and his Chicago thugs, you can bet on that.

Suffice to say Hunt, that we have all been ill-served by many of our politicos. But I just can't get my arms around a party whose policies and legislation have failed so completely in every way possible. I am certainly never going to say self-righteously that only the Dems have all the answers. How wonderful it would be for all of us if they worked for all the people, not just those who dropped boatloads of money into their campaign coffers.

Believe it or not, I remember when after an election, regardless who prevailed, everyone rolled up their sleeves and went to work for all of us. We certainly can't say that today.
