Why does Obama need to release his birth certificate (he has, by the way)? No President has had to release their birth certificate or college records, and it's racist to claim he not American based on the color of his skin. FDR did what needed to be done at the time, but that power never went away after he died. Nixon's Watergate helped bring the presidential power down a bit, but not enough, I agree.

Side note: Ironically enough, FDR started the presidential term limit law, which leads me to believe that he saw the danger of the president having so much power.

However, when John McCain's birthplace and eligibility for POTUS came into question, McCain IMMEDIATELY released ALL of his birth records, and VERIFIED his eligibility, Obama did NOT!!!

Eisenhower didn't Register his birth until the age of 62, with his older brother signing as a witness (his brother was a toddler at the time of Ike's birth). before that you verified with baptismal records, with Obama does not need to release since he already released his long form birth certificate.

And if you truly believe color has nothing to do with this, then where are Romney's birth records? Because his father was a citizen of Mexico and was not born in the US, so under the same terms as the Obama accusations, he isn't allowed to run the party either.
