Should marijuana be legalized?
With Marijuana Legal the police can spend more time investigating serious crimes.
Yes with Marijuana Legal there may be side effects to pot but it is not nearly as Dangerous as Alcohol and Tobacco. But if legalized the Goverment could Tax it and use that money to pay for Education and healthcare and more money for firefighters, police ,teachers and pay off our National Debt. I rather see the money from the sale and tax of Marijuana be united states hands than Drug cartels who make billions and dispite the united states best efforts Marijuana still is smuggled in so why not let the united states legalize it to prevent this black market of illegal drugs thats ruining America and American lives
plus side of Marijuana that is good for insomnia, anorexia, depression, nausea, glaucoma and has many uses I am sure we will discover with time.

Also, I don't believe it should be legal to grow Marijuana; as an alternative, I do believe it would be better if the grower intended to sell Marijuana as a product instead.
Also, no sort of drugs that were not created(for lack of a better word for now) inside the U.S. because we don't need to risk any sort of Zombie Apocalypse happening because someone accidentally contaminated the product with some sort of corpse-reanimating fungi!

"There is evidence that cannabinoids play a neuroprotective role in stroke, traumatic brain injury, and several neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and even Parkinson’s disease. Cannabinoids appear to produce this protection through various mechanisms." Quoted from the below article:

Here's some of the research I have found that has led me to believe marijuana should be fully legal:
First of all, the U.S. government has already made an extensively researched case against their own claim that marijuana has no medicinal benefits. You can find proof of this by looking up these patents:
U.S. Patent claiming Cannabinoids can be used as antioxidants and neuroprotectants:
United States Patent: 6630507
U.S. Patent claiming Cannabinoids have anti-inflammatory properties:

Those are the two main ones, but if you look further at the related patent links you will find a few more.
So, based on this evidence, marijuana, at the VERY LEAST, should be immediately decriminalized nationwide.
Personally, I believe marijuana should be made legal like valerian root, lavender, garlic and poppies are legal. It is a plant and an amazingly useful healing plant at that. If you care to know more (its absurd if you don't) here is a whole lot of information including scientific studies and real life testimonials:
Cannabis Oil: This is a relatively new cancer treatment and the one we are most excited about. There have been medical studies that have proven that cannabinoids literally destroy cancer cells and many, many success stories. Most people think of marijuana in terms of people smoking it to get high. This is very different. It is made from a very large quantity of cannabis with all of the medicinal parts extracted into a tiny jar of goo. It can be grown an made easily in your wn home. More than any other medicine, I have read many many astonishing tales of cures from this stuff. I encourage you to watch the videos and read the articles below. There are also many studies suggesting that raw cannabis plant, if ingested is a powerful health tonic with benefits ranging from relief of many different chronic pain conditions, anti-cancer, cell regeneration, and immune boost. The plant if taken raw has no psychoactive effects at all, that is, it DOES NOT GET YOU HIGH AT ALL. Cannabis only gets you high if heated or extracted in oil/sugar/alcohol.

Cannabis has also been linked, in recent studies, with lowering the prevalence of and even treating Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and dementia. In addition to this research, I, personally, have seen skin cancer cured by rubbing cannabis oil into the afflicted area daily. I believe because I have seen it. If you or someone you know has cancer, would you really write off a potential cure/effective treatment for cancer just because you think it sounds ridiculous? People thought it was ridiculous that fluoride could cause mass brain development problems in children and lowered IQ's among populations of people with fluoridated water. This is proven, well researched fact, yet we have been led to believe for more than 70 years that fluoride is harmless and beneficial to the teeth. It has also been illegally added to our water supplies in many, many states. Why is it so hard, then, for people to believe that cannabis could potentially very effectively treat cancer and a multitude of other diseases and that this fact has been effectively hidden from us for years? And why oh WHY do so many people write off the possibility immediately and entirely without even researching it let alone trying it for themselves or for a loved one? Yet, many will without much question, drink coffee daily, smoke cigarettes, take harmful prescription drugs and/or drink themselves silly at least once a month..
It's a wonderful medicine and healthy way to unwind if used correctly. Everyone is different so the effective dosage and strain will vary from person to person depending on their specific body chemistry and what that person is using it for. Just like anything in this world, it's simply not for everyone. Peanuts cause one hundred deaths every year, on average, because people are allergic to them. In a similar yet not deadly way, there are probably some people who react negatively to pot no matter what. My guess is that this is very rare and in most cases it is a problem of dose or strain. The problem arises when people abuse marijuana and intake too much. They burn out natural receptors in their brains and that can cause a whole slew of problems. These same receptors are enhanced and multiplied when dosage is set low and the medicine is far more effective at the lower doses. (Unless we are talking about pain management, which can be different.) Just like with anything in life, if you do it too much, you may become psychologically addicted to it and it will most likely have negative effects on your life. Moderation is key. Food is far more harmful than cannabis if abused. Should we outlaw food?
There are no links available for most peer reviewed articles of scientific studies because they are In published and copyrighted scientific journals, but you can gain access to some of them at a local library or you can go online and purchase them. Here are some names to look up...

"Cannabis-Derived Substances in Cancer Therapy - An Emerging Anti-Inflammatory Role for the Cannabinoids" -By Bentham Science Publishers Ltd.
If it were legal, I would start transcribing these research papers and distributing them for free.
all that is understood is, tobacco mix with carncer causing products are sold to kill peoole only because the finacail comunity must make money wit the over populated culture.
if marry j kill one person it would all over tv networks saying "i told you so"
My warning is if marry j mix with salt will create insolated bricks, some who enjest marry j mix in thier should have a low sodiom meal to prevent stone blockage.
Legalize it, decriminalize it, grow it, dry it, sell it with regulations, tax it, everyone it happy. Drugs stop being smuggled into the country (all hard drugs are smuggled in on established marijuana smuggling routes); prison populations go way down, police budgets are no longer choked by the demand to get those pot smokers, so they can go after harder criminals; gang violence would be curbed because there would not be a need to fight over territory for drug selling; property values would go up because the neighborhoods would stop being filled with gang members; the federal government would have a surplus in tax revenue without having to raise anyone's tax, because pot is the highest grossing cash crop ever; there would be an abundance of jobs because you need people to grow, process, sell, harvest, the product as well as people to build the places that will sell it.
