yup

people escape their country because their lives are bad and they want something better for themselves and their families. they wouldn't have to do it illegally if it was made easier to escape a deprived place legally.

To make resolution of the problem feasible and manageable, some portion of illegal immigrants will need to be allowed favorable treatment. That was apparent in the Bush plan and now in the Obama enforcement policy. Personally, I think they first need to stop the influx of new immigrants and have a very visible deportation program.

You'll notice when you look at the map above that 100% of the responses that came from border states say NO to amnesty. It's only a matter of time before this disease from south of the border spreads to other states. Maybe then the liberals will change their tune.
