When I worked at the polls there was SO much fraud. Now the election folks make sure [at least where I live] you don't work anywhere near where you live so you don't know as many people....and can't complain. We were told there was nothing we could do because there was no proof... Um. Yea. That person who says they're Vido Kesovia...I knew Vido and he died a couple of years ago. There were multiple other similar examples.

    Very well said.
I got into a bit of a discussion with a friend on this one. Heck, you need a photo ID to go to the Dr or pick up certain prescriptions. To do so many daily activities. At least in CA, it used to be required for adults to have photo ID-though I have no doubt that's changed. The VA as well as social service/welfare agencies assist people to get free ID. There's no excuse.

I know. My Grandmother didn't have a picture on her drivers license so she went down to the dmv as did my other Grandmother and they got their drivers license with pictures. One is in her 80s the other in her 90s.

Heck, my grandfather had one-and he didn't even have a social security card. There are no excuses. Unless of course it's a tacet agreement with TPTB that voter fraud his helpful for their side, so it behooves them for it to continue.
Of course the sheeple will believe anything.

And this doesn't disinfranchise anyone either. If IDs are not required, the American people will be disinfranchised by illegal immigrants voting in our elections! People have to show IDs for a multitude of things these days (and frankly have had to for decades for banking, etc.). Anyone who does not have a photo ID at this point in time is a drop out from society or an illegal immigrant. The Democrats are protesting so loudly about it because they have thrown elections for years by securing votes from the dead, imprisoned felons, illegal immigrants, etc. Now that everybody is on to them, they say it disinfranchises the poor! That is total BS.

Like drinking, voting has a legal age and voters should be required to submit ID just like drinkers. You wouldn't want a kid trying to elect the ice cream man.

The issue is basically do you want honest elections? And whose interest is otherwise? Your picture ID is required for most transactions in this age of identity theft. And it has nothing to do with race no matter how much the left tries to fit that square peg into a round hole.

Having photo ID will cut down on voter fraud, from illegals, & hopefully cut down on the admitted democrat voting fraud.

I saw a segment on the news awhile back, where a blacked out guy-democrat-voice disguised-gave a lot of specifics on how they pull off mass scale voting fraud, & that the mail in ballots is one of their favorite things to tamper with.

I saw it, I heard it. So that's where my concern is. I don't want Obama re-elected-especially if it's by voter fraud!!

It's EASY to get a photo ID if you're legit. It's not so easy for dogs, cadavers, or illegal aliens to get them, although it's certainly possible, at least in CA where illegals are allowed to get drivers' licenses even though they're not even supposed to BE here. Go figure...

First, let's be clear - there's little to no voter fraud in the United States. I'm all for voter ID laws, but that's if there's a conscious effort by the state to have Voter ID drives to ensure people have the right identification and are able to get it quickly if they do not.

Thank you for this. I keep running into dems who say there is no voter fraud, yet I've seen on the news a dem admitting to it, & saying their preferred method is by ballots by mail tampering.

Like I said, I support voter ID laws, but the point is that fraud is not widespread. The point is that fraud is POSSIBLE, which is the problem, but I seriously doubt any major elections in this country have been determined through fraud.

Like what the one person put- http//www.americanthinker.com
Also a computer programmer admitted under oath that he programmed the voter mainframe to manipulate the numbers, & there was no way to discern it was doing it, & it would give a 51% to the one candidate, & 49% to the other.

So it's actually more like most elections are fraud. He said the only way to discover the descrepencies, was to count the hard copies, & compare.

also, havn't you heard of all the counties, who have more voters than people? How is that?
Or the ones that have a host of dead people voting?

So having proper phote ID, is the LEAST we should be doing about it!

You should read the article and watch the video that TuringsChild posted. What you are saying is liberal propaganda. What you cannot quantify, you cannot determine to what extent it exists and the video is sworn testimony!

"there's little to no voter fraud in the United States" Do you seriously believe that!? There has been widespread voter fraud in some jurisdictions for decades upon decades, by both major parties! And it is probably how Obama got elected in 2008. We should all support voter ID laws.

But if you actually wanted to rig an election, trying to vote multiple times only gets you a couple dozen votes and is risky. If you wanted to rig an election, you'd probably try tampering with voting machines or intercepting election results as they're sent to the state election board from the precinct. In either of those cases, it's a lot easier and more efficient to invest in anti-hacking software than in Voter IDs.

A couple dozen votes in a small town election such as electing a mayor could definitely do damage, though.
