EXCERPTS: The nanny state is going after moms.
Mayor Bloomberg is pushing hospitals to hide their baby formula behind locked doors so more new mothers will breast-feed.
Starting Sept. 3, the city will keep tabs on the number of bottles that participating hospitals stock and use — the most restrictive pro-breast-milk program in the nation.
Under the city Health Department’s voluntary Latch On NYC initiative, 27 of the city’s 40 hospitals have also agreed to give up swag bags sporting formula-company logos, toss out formula-branded tchotchkes like lanyards and mugs, and document a medical reason for every bottle that a newborn receives.
While breast-feeding activists applaud the move, bottle-feeding moms are bristling at the latest lactation lecture.
“If they put pressure on me, I would get annoyed,” said Lynn Sidnam, a Staten Island mother of two formula-fed girls, ages 4 months and 9 years. “It’s for me to choose.”
Under Latch On NYC, new mothers who want formula won’t be denied it, but hospitals will keep infant formula in out-of-the-way secure storerooms or in locked boxes like those used to dispense and track medications.
With each bottle a mother requests and receives, she’ll also get a talking-to.

to that Bloomin-Idiot ...
As soon as HE are working hard every day to earn your income ..
(would like to see how he'd do this .. while serving on Active Duty or working in a factory or on a sales floor .. )
as soon as HE, personally has a babe at his chest and is feeding .. off HIS breasts
as soon as HE Can figure out some females do NOT produce enough to feed their infants .. (or can't express to feed their infants at all during the working hours)
then HE needs to stop being NANNY
(after all .. HE is not the "wet nurse" .. and never will be)
Time for him to deal with his own HOME ...
and stay OUT of everyone else's ..
Yep you'd see me walking in that city with a 32 oz cup of pop in one hand as I bottle fed my baby with the other hand. What a complete IDIOT!!!!!
LMAO... Now I know you weren't breast fed.. cause you think like a conservative... always blaming others that don't agree with your mindset...
Democratic Party (until 2001)
Republican Party (2001–2007)
Independent (2007–present)
The election choice in November is, in my mind at least more than just if the President should be re-elected. It is a choice between two party's with opposite views of how much freedom of choice an individual should have.
On one side we have the democratic party who encourages destructive behavior, yet wants to control peoples lives as much as possible.
On the other the republican party who supports the idea of personal choice freedom.
It is UTTERLY anti-American for those arrogant bastards who WORK FOR US to tell us how to live.
FIRE that jerk-off.
