They're just as capable of raising a kid in a loving and caring enviroment and giving the child what they deserve. One of my friends is adopted to a lesbian couple and he's a perfectly normal guy and they used to babysit me, as well and from experience they are capable of taking care of a kid. Sexual orientation has nothing to do with child care.

If they are good people then they should be allowed to adopt. Whether they are homosexual or heterosexual shouldn't matter. As long as the environment the child or children are going into is a loving, helpful and positive place. Everyone should have the same right. The law does not say that the heterosexual citizen get these right and everyone else doesn't. It's "We the people of the United States..." It's talking about everyone legal citizen in our great country. The United State of America is called "The Land of the Free" but it seems now that not everyone IS free. Why should the government decide whether one group of people should be discriminated against? They are suppose to be there to help us, right?

Then to all of the religious people saying the bible says it's wrong. My question to you is: If if it's wrong to have same-sex parents, then why did Jesus have two fathers? I know you might say "They weren't in a intimate relationship with each other!" and you might be right but at the end of the day Jesus still have two fathers. Also, how do you know the bible is right? No one know for sure who wrote the sections of the bible. They have speculation of who wrote it but there is no evidence that they wrote it and this is what everyone should follow. The whole bible might be wrong. The interpretation of it when it was translated might be wrong. So, how do you know for sure that homosexuality is wrong if no one knows for sure that that's what the bible preaches?

What about raising it in a perverted heterosexual environment? What about the stories of adopted straight couples where one ends up sexually molesting their adopted children?

Also I would like to add on, a gay couple is not a perverted family. There's nothing wrong with what they're feeling/doing legally or morally. Nothing.
In fact, the vast majority of "perverted" families who do either abusive or sexually horrific things to their kids are what you would consider a "traditional family".
