Such arrogance He and others at the White House have been. They have turned out to be liars and manipulators of the truth, along with the media. I very much want to see Obama's true records,Reids tax records for the last 20 years. All these people have lost their way and have forgotten who put them where they're at...and they are suppose to work for us, not the other way around. As far as I'm concerned they all need to be fired except for the ones that are known to work for the people.

Never apologize. Never explain. Barge onward. Frankly, the only people that give a grit are your detractors, and they are simply looking for another angle from which to attack you. To hell with them.

Sodahead moved when I clicked NO. Harry is right, Romney only showed 2010 ans 2011. First off had he not added anothe 2 million more than required in 2011, he wiould have been at 9% of his income, but he wanted more the 13%. Harry Reid wanted 09, 08, and 07. I guarantee Romney paid no taxes in those years, otherwise show them!. What ever happened to the 35% the rich boys are supposed to pay? What a joke!

    Reid hasn't the character.

Someone needs to delve into how Harry, who came to office with very modest means, came to be wealthy in office.

A most telling fact is that rich Republicans come to office with their wealth, while rich Democrats leave office with "their" wealth.

Here are 10 unanswered questions about Romney’s taxes:
    1. After the election, when the subject of your tax returns is outside of the public glare, will you file an amended tax return to claim your full deduction of charitable contributions? Was the tax rate you reported for other years similarly manipulated?
    2. Why was your 2011 income $7 million lower than you estimated it to be in January? How does someone overestimate their income by $7 million?
    3. Financial disclosures show that you have as much as $82 million in your tax-deferred Individual Retirement Account, despite the fact that tax rules limited contributions into such accounts to $30,000 per year. Did you lowball the value of the assets you put into your IRA, as tax experts suspect? And did you do the same with gifts into your sons’ trusts?
    4. What was the purpose of your Swiss bank account and the myriad offshore entities shown on your return, based in countries like the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg, if not to avoid taxes?
    5. Can you explain what one tax expert has called a “mysterious one-time infusion of foreign tax credits” in 2008?
    6. You have not disclosed any foreign bank account reports (FBARs). Did you file all FBARs on all of your offshore accounts with the Treasury Department by the legal deadlines each y...

    6. You have not disclosed any foreign bank account reports (FBARs). Did you file all FBARs on all of your offshore accounts with the Treasury Department by the legal deadlines each year?
    7. You claim to have paid an average tax rate of 20 percent over the last 20 years based on a flawed calculation. What was your real tax rate?
    8. Your 14 percent tax rate –- not to mention the approximately 10 percent tax rate you would have paid had you not inflated it — is less than what many middle-class Americans pay. And you paid just 0.2% of your income in payroll taxes, while most Americans pay about 15%. Do you think that is fair?
    9. Your tax returns show that the Marriott Corporation paid you $260,390 in directors’ fees in 2011. When you were the company’s audit committee chair in the 1990s, were you aware that the company was abusing a notorious illegal tax shelter?
    10. You say you’ve made a “commitment to the public” that your tax rate should not be below 13 percent. If you believe that the richest Americans shouldn’t be paying an exceptionally low tax rate, why don’t you support President Obama’s “Buffett Rule”?

You ask "Why"? Because when you do something wrong, you apologize. Reid lied and slandered Romney's character when he said "somebody told him" and when he said Romney was "probably a felon" and hadn't submitted tax returns for decades, and had something to hide. Reid has a lot to apologize for, and if he were an honest, ethical man, he would. But, since he is a sniveling, lying coward, we all know he won't.
  • Odinsown Hidden ... 2012/09/22 22:38:44

Why wasn't directed to why he should apologize, it was as to why I picked no.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't make a difference to voters. He should apologize to Romney because that's what moral, ethical adults do.
  • Odinsown Hidden ... 2012/09/23 01:51:30

And normal and sane people should campaign for that, but until people who don't like Romney ask him to apologize it won't happen.
  • Hidden ... Odinsown 2012/09/23 03:58:55

You know their mindset all too well. They will so ticked off that nothing was found to pounce on, that an apology is the last thing they'd do. They are just hoping for another scandal to be created that they can latch onto.
