Such arrogance He and others at the White House have been. They have turned out to be liars and manipulators of the truth, along with the media. I very much want to see Obama's true records,Reids tax records for the last 20 years. All these people have lost their way and have forgotten who put them where they're at...and they are suppose to work for us, not the other way around. As far as I'm concerned they all need to be fired except for the ones that are known to work for the people.

Mitt Romney took a long time to submit 2011 tax records. I don't believe anything he
says or does. Why he even "neglected" to take some obvious tax deductions according
to him. Gee, what kind of businessman is that? I believe Harry Reid was also referring to the taxes he did not pay on the Cayman Island and Swiss bank accounts.

    Besides . . .

    Saint Mitt Ain't Sh*t.

And Harry Reid never made that claim. He said this . . .

“The word's out that he [Romney] hasn't paid any taxes for 10 years.”

or does Reid have profits from companies that were moved from the U S to China that he
can claim against capital losses against the "investment" of moving the company to China?
This, in most cases causes the tax on the "investment" to be on a negative number, hence
no taxes. Romneys answer to Obama's retort that companies can actually get a tax break
for moving their companies to China. Romney went ballistic with a total denial of any
knowledge of such a thing...if he wasn't so dishonest, he would be funny with that drama.

Duh - there's still no proof that he didn't pay zero some years - I suspect in 2008 and 2009 (from my knowledge of the tax code and his income sources) he probably did pay nothing. I would also guess his 'stretch' to a 20 year average is to encompass years before some of the idiotic loopholes and other provisions entered the tax code so that his tax burden appears higher...Doesn't mean there weren't years he paid zero. Also, we don't even KNOW it's the truth.

The whole disingenuous step of not taking his full charitable deduction is also a real insight to his personality... Like we think he would do that if he WASN'T running for President...

At 'the end of the day' I don't care too much about what legal advantage he took of the tax code BUT he should be transparent about that - particularly as he argues for additional tax relief for the wealthy and provides NO actual detail on how his scheme might work - particularly when eliminating ALL loopholes we know of (including some very popular state tax credits and home mortgage income adjustments) would STILL be a deficit grenade.

ha ha...that recording at Lehmanns kinda showed who was a hypocrite. Gee Mitt wasn't toting the 47% lazy dependents speech last night at the presidient debate was he. When
you talk about arrogance...I guess he forgot his family got assistance from the US when they escaped the rebellion in Mexico and fleed to the US as refugees in the early 1930s. (That was after the fleed from the US to avoid prosecution for polygamy...yikes!
  • Jensenmk Margaret 2012/10/04 21:13:46
    Jensenmk
You are confusing apples and oranges, sister.

Giving refugees help is completely different from multiple generations of welfare recipients working the system; but hey, the liberals prefer their sheep to be dependant on the goverment teet. Those of us that contribute to the coffers shouldn't be upset because some are quite comfortable just sitting at home and receiving 'their entitlements', right?!?
  • Margaret Jensenmk 2012/10/11 15:25:54
    Margaret
I am saying that not all the 47% that did not pay taxes are lazy etc. A majority of the
the 47% are retired, returning combat troops that have not found work yet, people who work hard, but accordingly to the tax tables with their number of dependents, get a refund equal to the amount they paid in. The 47% that don't pay taxes can also be the inviduals who file enough deductions, such as medical bills, charities, capital losses suffered, education costs, mortgage interest, real estate taxes, and oh yeah, how many children and end up not having paid taxes because of a total refund of their taxes paid....which include a lot of moderate middle class people. As far as entitlements, that is what social security is considered, and medicare also. And, finally, those who do not pay any taxes because of loopholes in the tax code that allow them to pay no taxes as a final line.
  • Jensenmk Margaret 2012/10/11 15:37:41 (edited)
    Jensenmk
The 47% that was referred to are not those that don't pay taxes, they are those who receive entitlements (welfare, food stamps, etc) from the government.

The issue is: almost one half of the country is receiving government money that the other half is actually doing the work to earn, and the current administration wants to increase the taxes on the ones that are already supporting the rest. Add to that all the hidden taxes and fees that result in reducing the amount of discretionary money each American will have and will effect every level of society (regardless of their contribution).

There are quite a few people who do not pay taxes - many do PAY taxes, but as you said, many get a complete refund (and in some cases get refunded more than was originally deducted from their wages). At least these people are working and not content to suck off the government teat, even though they incur a zero sum tax burden, they mange to EARN their own way.
  • Margaret Jensenmk 2012/10/11 16:46:52
    Margaret
NO the 47% is a legitimate number of individuals who do not pay taxes, but democrats and republican do not repudiate that is the percentage that end up
not paying any tax to the U S government. The rest of the ranting at the private
home for Romneys fund raising was about a smaller percentage of the 47% that get entitlements also, but it was made to sound like the whole 47% were just
dependent on the government....and even so, a smaller portion of that percent
deserve a TEMPORARY HELP UP...(NOT A HAND OUT) UNTIL THEY ARE
ON THEIR FEET AGAIN. tHAT IS THE PART OF OF ENTITLEMENTS THAT
NEED FIXED. iF YOU ARE GETTING A HAND UP FROM THE GOVERNMENT, SOMETHING SHOULD BE REQUIRED OF YOU WHILE
YOU ARE GETTING THE HELP. SOME SAY, DRUG TESTING, JOB TRAINING, JOB CORP WORK, EITHER IN THIS COUNTRY OR ABROAD,
WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET YOU SELF-DEPENDENT AND PAYING TAXES. When i say deserve help, I mean, deserve a chance to become a self dependent individual. Not everyone was born and/or raised with the tools they
need to provide for themselves. Give a man a fish, he survives today; teach him to fish, he survives a life. (Something like that)
