Some schools place limits on how much skin a girl can show -- how short her skirt is, etc. -- but Calvert High School in Maryland is trying to flesh out how that applies to one student's unique take on the dress code. Warren Evans, a bisexual student at Calvert High, was suspended for wearing a skirt, and he says it doesn't violate the school's dress code.
Evans told NBC Washington, "I don't think [it violated the dress code]. Why not? It didn’t say anywhere in the code of conduct or dress code that says boys can't dress like girls ... Some people aren't tolerant of that type of thing." Officials have not commented publicly on the situation, but say the dress code is not gender-specific. Some parents have sided with the school, arguing that boys in dresses would be a distraction. Do you think guys should be allowed to wear skirts during school hours?

Now, if I were in charge I would require tasteful unisex uniforms...yes a 'dress code' which if violated, got mom and dad involved.
The purpose of school is to learn, not to be a distraction.
PS he is a 'looker'! ;-)
I think he would be a blip for a while and then it would just be another part of the school body.
It's okie dokie for girls to dress as guys but not guys to dress as girls just because they are supposed to be more manly?
Not only is it easy to monitor the students behavior to and form the school and most importantly on school trips.
Uniforms keep the students minds focused on school and not what they are wearing or more importantly to a teen, what others are thinking about what you are wearing or wasting time mocking what some people are wearing.
The haves and have nots are on equal footing, it saves parents money on wardrobes.
Wear whatever you want on weekends, dances, holidays and summer.
Women may not braid their hair, wear gold, pearls, or expensive clothing.
"Women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array." -- 1 Timothy 2:9
"Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel." -- 1 Peter 3:3
Don't wear garments with wool and linen blended together.
"Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together." -- Deuteronomy 22:11
A man's hair should be short, and a woman's long.
"Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him? But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering." -- 1 Corinthians 11:14-15
God will punish those who wear strange clothes.
"I will punish ... all such as are clothed with strange apparel." -- Zephaniah 1:8
Priests must wear linen, not wool, and may not wear any garment that makes them sweat.
"But the priests ... shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them. They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat." -- Ezekiel 44:15-18
Oh and another small piece of information for anyone thinking cross-dressing or transsexualism is in some way violating some law of God. The only mention in the bible of cross-dressing is a singular passage that says loosely quoted "A man shall not don the garb of a woman, nor should a woman wear a male's apparel." This being said it's actually a mistranslation from when the bible was transferred to English it really says "A man shall not wear the garb of a woman to enter a woman's tent, (fear of rape) and a woman shall not wear a man's garb to enter a temple. (Since women of the day where not allowed in the temples.)
