Should Guys Be Allowed to Wear Skirts in School?

Some schools place limits on how much skin a girl can show -- how short her skirt is, etc. -- but Calvert High School in Maryland is trying to flesh out how that applies to one student's unique take on the dress code. Warren Evans, a bisexual student at Calvert High, was suspended for wearing a skirt, and he says it doesn't violate the school's dress code.

Evans told NBC Washington, "I don't think [it violated the dress code]. Why not? It didn’t say anywhere in the code of conduct or dress code that says boys can't dress like girls ... Some people aren't tolerant of that type of thing." Officials have not commented publicly on the situation, but say the dress code is not gender-specific. Some parents have sided with the school, arguing that boys in dresses would be a distraction. Do you think guys should be allowed to wear skirts during school hours?

Well I would be against schools restricting the ability to wear crosses, that's not right ether. However expressing religion and publicizing a relationship are pretty different things but both should be aloud.

Halloween should be limited to once a year.

I do belive it is only once a year, however I think you know that. Some people belive they are born into the wrong gendered bodies and dress like they are in the correct body some go as far as to get a sex change. Some just like how womens clothes make them feel this can be because of how they grew up

What disease? Surely dressing in different clothes isn't a disease.

if the dress code does't say anything about witch clothes should be for girl or boy than the school should not have suspend him for that

It's that little thing that women wanted called "Sexual equality," it does not matter what he looks like, why he's doing it or what his sexual orientation is. It is a matter of women do not want to share their equality with men. You can make all the excuses you want as to why you don't want him wearing it. The fact still remain that it is a matter of sexual equality.

example if i have sex with a girl( i'm a she ) does it make a lesbian so having sex with a guy even tho its part time does not make u gay

do you put another mans penis in your mouth and/or ass? if the answer is yes then YES; you're gay
  • James ticker 2012/06/02 17:29:00

-.- I nearly vomited at reading your comment there, so no. I'm not gay. If you look at my profile, I have a girlfriend who is 5 yrs older than me, have been dating for 5 years and plan on marrying her sometime in the next 2 yrs.

The only reason I even asked if you were calling me gay was because I thought your comment " not some gay guy wanting to make a statement" was referring to me. I realized later that it was in response to the guy mentioned in this article who is exerting his sexual equality that women so desperately wanted for themselves.

am i calling you gay?... well ask yourself this question: do i let other men put their penises in my mouth and/or anus? if you answered yes to any part of that question then yes; i;m calling you gay.

What about em? They're men aren't they? Or are you referring to the ones who don't live America and don't go by sexual equality?
  • fredrik19 James 2012/05/21 05:59:11

no i was only asking if them wearing their cultural "dresses" makes them gay. because ticker seems to think it does. for some reason a dress or skirt is OK on a Scottish man to him because it looks different even though its the same concept but any man that it not scottish he seems to think could only be gay which is utterly untrue

Well I honestly don't know why a straight man would want to wear a dress unless that man was into cross dressing. It's okay, I used to think the same way as ticker... I grew out of it. It's called maturing. Maybe he'll grow up one day too... we can only hope.

He's just an attention whore. People just have no shame anymore. Used to be that you would hide your deviant sexual perversions instead of trying to put them in the face of everyone else. What's next? Someone promoting sex with farm animals at school?

Kids can't hug or make best friends but something that would create a huge disruption in class is ok... And we wonder why our children aren't learning anything.

The outfit is cute but a little too dressy maybe a nice skirt to the knees a tank top and a little sweater jacket I think it would be cute, I don't see a problem with guys wearing clothes like women as long as it meets dress code.

I don't know..I think schools are places where people learn things and not have to worry about what they wear or look like..kids have all the rest of their lives to express themselves and worry about what they look like...I think he's just wasting his time and asking for attention.

But rather it is a uniformed school or a non uniformed school where guys have the choice to wear womens clothes they will worry about looks all the same uniforms and normal dressing doesn't change the worry factor when it comes to clothes or how people look or what people are doing this starts in elementary, or at least that is when i started to notice it
