Once you are receiving any type of government assistance, your life is really no longer yours, it belongs to them. You WILL do what they say and when they say it or else. Why do so many liberals and progressives seem to want to be told what to do and when to do it? I guess personal freedom means different things to different people.

You have the logic and allegation exactly backwards. By controlling Congress and the legislation that flows from there, corporations and financial interests such as Reagan Banks and Wall Street's brokerages and wealthy owners can hold the Government and Taxpayers "by the stones". That is how EXXON, Pfizer, Lockhead-Martin, Boeing, Halliburton, and others connected to BIG OIL. BIG PHARMA, BIG MILITARY, gain access to the hundreds of $Billions they demand from the Govy each year (about 40% of the total expenditures of the Federal Government). What is left, divided among the 300+Million
citizens in some manner, amounts to little when compared to the "assistance" to these
corporations. When the reasons seem to be shrinking, these "people" (yes, now these are all people, just like you and me) are known to persuade the public to commence wars, fight among themselves, and depress the economy until they are given their "needs" and even greater control and funding for their rivers of money.
